Liquids soak through the cuff and product is out of date
The gown and sleeves function as they should, but the products I received have a stated shelf life of 1 year and a manufacture date of more than 3 years ago. The gowns will work for things like keeping non-hazardous substances like paint off of your clothes, but I wouldn't use out of date products as isolation gowns. It's also worth noting that while the blue material seemed to be waterproof, the sleeve cuffs allow liquid to soak through in seconds. To my understanding cuffs aren't held to the same standard as the gown material in level 2 gowns, so this isn't necessarily a defect. It's just worth being aware of.The white cuffs on the sleeves are elastic cloth. I tested the product by putting on nitrile gloves before donning the gown. Once on, I sprayed the sleeves and cuffs with water. There was no water ingress through the blue portion of the gown, but the water soaked through the cuff within seconds. This gown is intended to be worn with other PPE, but your PPE needs to include something to prevent any fluid from reaching the white cuff, or it will come in contact with your skin even if you have a glove under the gown. The reason I rated this as 3/5 is because of the date issue. The use and care label included with each gown says, "Expected shelf life is one years from date of manufacture when stored as stated." I placed my order through Vine and received it in October of 2023. The date of manufacturing on the gowns is June of 2020. That means that the products went out of date in June of 2021.They seemed to function as expected, but if you are using these as an isolation gown to protect against exposure to hazardous materials, it's critical to use a product that is certified and within date. Otherwise there is no point in having an expiration date. These will work as gowns to protect against non-hazardous nuisance things like dust or paint splatter, but I wouldn't rely on them for isolation from anything infectious or hazardous if your exposure control standards require you to use products that are within date.

Pricey, but sturdy and individually packaged
Ten gowns arrived, each in their own package. Convenient, comfortable and easy to use. The individual packaging made it easier to transport in my travel and hospital bags, which is a bonus. It fit my nurses of various sizes (small, medium, large, tall, short, etc…), and securely worked with the gloves. The gowns are not sterile or waterproof, but they worked as expected. Good product, overall. I do frequently purchase level 2 gowns, and was concerned with the cost, though.
