These are the best cedar shoes trees!
These are the best cedar shoes trees, and the are made in the USA! The Woodlore factory is across the street from the Allen Edmonds shoe factory in Port Washington, WI. Allen Edmonds sells these as well, they just have their own namelplate installed instead of the Woodlore name plate. I've got a pair in all my shoes right now, and it makes them so happy.

A good buy overall
- SIZING: I used these Large (labelled for 10-11 Mens US) for my 11.5 size shoes, the size they come in by default seems to work just fine. I understand they are adjustable, but I've never adjusted mine or needed to so I can't comment on that.- DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION: I've seen shoe trees that are just whole blocks of wood that you sort of have to hope match your shoe width appropriately; these are split down the middle so they can squeeze and fit more appropriately into slightly smaller shoes as well as bigger ones (within a reasonably small margin). They fit my boots (which are slightly wider, I suppose assuming you'll be wearing some thick wool socks or something with them) just as well as they do my Vans and other slimmer footwear. After over a year of use, they seem just as rugged and durable as ever.- SCENT: They do smell really good at first but it fades over time; the main thing is that they don't seem to pick up smells. I bought some of these over a year ago and sniffed them — they lost their original sweet aroma and they smell like plain, unscented wood (which is still good, they don't smell foot-y). Keep in mind I can only comment with regard to the odors my feet produce which I would say — in my limited experience of comparing my foot smells to other men's — is about average...- PRICE: These aren't particularly expensive in the first place but my friend who works in a shoe store said you can buy two pairs of these for about $20 where she works. I don't know if they are of similar build/construction/quality, but yeah... consider looking around if cost is an issue and you need multiples of these.

Should be used by all that care about their shoes
These are a must have for anyone that cares about their footwear. Think for a moment you spend 200.00 to 500.00 or more for good shoes then more often than not people drop the ball and do not buy shoes trees to maintain the shoes. When I say good shoes I am speaking of shoes that are constructed of leather uppers, soles and heels. The shoes are not made with man made materials at all. Thus the shoes will likely cost a bit more that what you find and you local DSW or some other discount shoe seller. Not only will this product help the shoes keep their shape and naturally deodorize the shoes. This product also draws moisture out of the linings which should be leather by the way further helping to keep your well made kicks in proper order. Of all the things one should do when purchasing shoes particularly nice dress shoes or high end casual shoes is to purchase shoe trees for the shoes at the same time if possible or by purchasing these from this seller. Personally I have shoe trees in every pair of casual; and dress shoes I own and I have have had many of my shoes over twenty years. These are a bargain especially if you can get the miles out of your shoes I do and if you use shoes trees in your shoes you will too.

Liked it so much I bought 2 more pairs
Having good shoes means that, without a doubt, you have to have good cedar shoe trees to protect your investment. Like most of you, I do the bulk of my shopping on Amazon for stuff like this due to both reviews (the one's that haven't been corrupted by paid reviews, at least) and price. Let's face it, shoe trees can cost a ton of money, especially for good ones (don't even consider plastic) so I tried these out based on the low price and good reviews......I ended up just ordering 2 more sets. These are sturdy and designed really smart. The pull on the back is a great addition and feels strongly attached; like it's built to last. My last tree didn't have those pull tabs so I had to pry them out sometimes. The tree fits tight like you want it to but comes out easy thanks to the tabs. The split toe is great because it keeps the leather of the toe smooth and free from wrinkles, especially if you have slip-on type dress shoes. These are excellent shoe trees so I highly recommend them. Get enough to cover all of your shoes and protect your investment.I have to also mention that the other half of the protection of your investment is in shoe polish so make sure you have a simple shoe shine kit (horse brush and kiwi polish is really all you need). This one is totally fine and inexpensive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AEZ3QG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Excellent shoe trees, but slight issue with variation in size.
Bought a couple of these to go with some new shoes I recently purchased. They do exactly what they are supposed to - which is to maintain the shape of the shoe and provide cedar wood to keep the insides of the shoes dry. These are comparable to many other shoe trees available here on Amazon and elsewhere, but the lower cost makes them a more attractive purchase. Two things kept me from giving these shoe trees 5 stars. First, the heel portion of the tree is much smaller than I expected based on the photos, and I wish they were a little thicker to give better heel support when in use. Second, of the pairs of shoe trees I purchased, one of them was noticeably shorter than the rest, resulting in one shoe tree that has little to no resistance when inside a shoe. In other words, with this one tree, I can turn my shoe upside down and it falls out. I understand their is natural variation in building these shoe trees, but this one tree is considerably different. With that said, I will probably purchase Woodlore shoe trees again if/when I need extras, as I really feel you get a lot for the price.

Well-crafted, well-built product, but a little narrow.
Product looks good, smells good, keeps my shoes nice and dry (not that I sweat much, but I digress). I was on the fence due to the cost but saw the reviews and thought I'd give it a shot. The product doesn't help "smooth" out any creases in your leather as much as I would have hoped, but it does help your shoe hold shape. I am a size 13, so I bought the size XL - I contemplated going with the XXL, but was concerned about overall length and height. I found the width was lacking on the XL (I don't buy "wide" shoes - just normal size 13's, if that helps).Had I not thrown out the packaging, I would have returned for a size up and tried my luck. Overall, though, I am happy as it's definitely (much) better than nothing.

Quality Product
This is my first shoe tree so it has been a way for me to benchmark against other shoe trees I've purchased.I really like the shape of this shoe tree on the toe end how it curves up to give the shoe the support and shape that resembles an actual human foot. The springs are well constructed and the shotgun heel is nicely carved which gives it a very sturdy feel. There is a lot of care in the finishing of the wood and absolutely no need to worry about splinters. A shiny coating seems to have been applied to it giving it a laminated feel.I have since however, switched to Money's worth Hook Heel shoe tree (ASIN# B007Z07UK6) which provides greater value and a wider heel to give the shoe better back support as these narrower heels may change the shape of the shoe due to a narrower concentration point. My only gripe about this shoe tree is that its flexibility (ability to compress) is not as high as that of the Money's Worth Hook Heel shoe tree.Nevertheless, this is a high quality built product. Buyers will not be disappointed.
