Was a good purchase for me
I love the seafood chowder, balsamic mushrooms and a few others. I vary the chowder receipt recipe slightly for other soups like chicken or turkey and its restaurant quality.

a must have for any AIP Protocol library - especially if you have psoriasis in your life
Having recently been *possibly* diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, I immediately started to search for ways to help myself heal – and that’s when I found the AIP Protocol. I love to cook, but I need a good recipe to follow and love having a great cookbook. I was frustrated by having to eat plain meat and veggies and I was feeling helpless and frustrated trying to come up with tasty meals without having to sub every ingredient or double check compliance with the protocol. When I had the opportunity to review The Psoriasis AIP Cookbook by Chelsea Lye, RNT, CNP, RYT, I couldn’t wait! My husband has psoriasis and I thought this would be the perfect addition to our library. I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful information about psoriasis, psoriasis management, and the easy to understand breakdown of the AIP protocol. Chelsea makes the transition to AIP seem manageable and the reintroduction effortless. She’s also included awesome lifestyle tips and explanations as to how they help with psoriasis. The recipes are easy to follow and prepare. The ingredients are generally items I always have on hand anyway, and for picky eaters like my husband, are simple yet tasty. What I loved most was the option for fresh or dried herbs! I admit to rarely buying fresh herbs, and having the conversion done for me was awesome! I also loved the recipe combination ideas in the descriptions with page references. The meal planning options are endless with the variety of recipes, but there are a couple weeks done for you if you need a kickstart! And, even though I know my way around a kitchen, I found the cooking tips extremely helpful as well as the interesting variation tipsI tried almost every recipe in the book and loved all of them! I’m recommending this book to everyone I know whether they have psoriasis, a different autoimmune condition, or just need some healthy recipe ideas. You can’t go wrong here.Disclaimer: I received an advance review copy from the publisher.

An all-in-one MUST HAVE in your healing toolbox, especially if you have Psoriasis
This book contains comprehensive but easy to understand - and to apply - information about Psoriasis and the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), with its different phases and essential details. Chelsea included specific recommendations for Psoriasis; we can feel at each page that she walks the talk, tried herself everything she explains and provides her best tips for those who have the same disease, Psoriasis. She holds your hands throughout the book to move from one step to another with clear and practical explanations. The book contains also a 2-week meal plan and a lot of recipes, sorted out per meal type (breakfast/smoothies, soups/salads/sides, seafood/poultry, meat, snacks/desserts/staples). The recipes are varied and most are easy and fast to prepare. Chelsea included cooking tips and variations or substitutions tips as well. Note that the recipes part does not include pictures (only one picture per meal type section), which I was a little frustrated about, however the book is very affordable compared to the quality of its content, which would not be the case with more colored pictures... This makes also this paperback book compact and easy to manipulate in the kitchen and to take everywhere with you. The last part of the book provides a double transition guide and a reintroduction guide with a tracker table, all very useful tools. I did very appreciate the measurement conversion tables provided at the end, being an European living in the US, units are always a tricky one.In summary, if you have Psoriasis and want to take control of it with the AIP, this is THE book for you: an all-in-one MUST HAVE in your healing toolbox!*disclaimer: I received an advance review copy from the publisher.

A great cookbook... and so much more!
I use this book as a reference for delicious, nutritious meals for my family ... which includes a few picky eaters! The recipes are great and it is also filled with other helpful information. The sticky honey-garlic chicken wings are a favourite in our home. Importantly though, I really like that the book includes information about the nutritional value of the ingredients of the recipes. Loads of information in one place! Also, I find that there is lots of variety and the recipes are within reach for a busy mom. The ingredients are things that we will use often, so I do not mind buying them. There is no concern that after the say two teaspoons required for a particular recipe that the remainder of the bottle will go to waste. I follow a paleo diet and enjoy this cookbook / study guide immensely.

Love, Love, Love These Recipes!
I can honestly say I was blown away by Chelsey's recipes! As someone who was recently diagnosed as autoimmune, finding autoimmune-friendly recipes has been a challenge at times. Luckily this cookbook has made it so much easier by giving you step-by-step guidance on how to manage your psoriasis with the AIP diet. From the AIP principles to the meal plans, this cookbook truly does simplify the process. Plus, it's packed full of delicious recipes like Sweet Potato Breakfast Hash, One Pot Chicken Curry, and Healing Strawberry Gummies. Whether you're brand new to the AIP diet or you're looking to boost your recipe library, this is one cookbook you want to make sure you don't let sit on your shelf! Colorful, impactful, inspiring!
As a board certified functional medicine health coach and certified AIP coach, I am always looking for tools for clients that makes their transition to healing fun and easier. I appreciate the approach to healing specifically for psoriasis clients to encourage them that eating well can be their solution to wellness. The recipes in this book are easy to implement into a weekly routine and don’t leave you feeling deprived of regular food. I had a dinner party and used only recipes from this book and no one knew they were part of an autoimmune protocol and raved about the taste and flavors, win-win!
