Nice set of beginner tools with better than most cutting edges.
Been carving over 45 years since a Boy Scout. If you want perfection buy the 3 cherries German tools... But getting my son into wood carving as a scout so these are great. Better than I had at his age which was just my fathers pin knife. They have a good sharp edge that takes to the stone well. They fit good in the hand and holds a nice cutting edge through an average small sized project. For the price I am impressed for coming off shore and eastern steel. I also bought another set with more gouges and the edges were horrible and wouldn't take an edge. Remember in any factory there are apprentices and masters. If yours were honed by an apprentice then put some effort to tune the edges and see if they hold. I'm going to take them to the grinding wheel and try to properly tune them so they accept a hand stone to make them work. With any knife, make the effort to put a honed edge on it then pause when needed from your work to keep the edge in shape before it dulls out and you have to start over. Nice inexpensive beginner set. Wear gloves or finger and thumb guards especially with duller edges on any knife. Enjoy and free the shape from the piece of wood that calls out to you.

High quality knives in exchange for a cheaper handles
I am new to wood carving, so I wasn't exactly sure what to look for in wood carving tools. However, I am very experience in wood working and burning, so I have a general understanding of how wood functions. Upon receiving this package, I was highly impressed with the quality of the knives. They all appeared sharp and well attached to the handles. However, the handles also seemed lower quality for what I was expecting. They sound hallow and are very light to the touch. I am not sure how this will handle over many uses, but it does make me nervous to use anything as a mallet on the end of it if ever necessary. Despite this, I am very pleased with the quality of the knives and the stone sharpeners. The package came with 4 stones, enough to fit every kind of tool that came with the set. The case is a high quality semi-hard shell with two small pouches on one side and a large pouch on the other. I am not exactly sure what the smaller pouches are for since the knives and stones are as long as the entire case. For the price, these are not a bad way to go

Updated review.
I gave these a 5 star right after I bought them, I have been using four months and would give them a 6 star now. I really got into carving and bought several sets. One from Harbor Freigjt went into trash after one hour or so. I bought a Schrade 24OT and spent all afternoon trying to correct bevels. This set I just keep using and using. I touch up edge and strop every now and then. This was the best bang for the buck of all the crap I have bought since I got them.

Extremely cheap materials
These look great in the pictures they provide, because they're exactly the same product that's being sold by 5+ other companies on here. They're very cheap, both in price and quality, which makes them great for beginners. These aren't really made for wood, even very soft wood will chip them and dull the edge quickly. I'd say these were more for clay or rubber, but honestly just looking at them wrong would make the blade break. The steel is amazingly bad, you'll be re-sharpening and re-honing constantly. Just throw out the stones they give you, they're uneven and not suitable for the blades provided. The case they give you is okay, it definitely wasn't made to hold these or the sharpening stones but it's a nice little addition. But if you want to get into woodworking or carving anything really, these will last you a little bit until you feel comfortable spending money on the real thing.

Value is there, Longevity isn’t
These are great for beginning, or trying to get a feel for woodworking. However, these evidently wont be the best quality/most durable tools. That said, I was not at all upset for the variety at the price point, and the tools I break I can replace with higher quality tools.Pros:- cost-effective- wide variety- great for beginnersCons:- not the sturdiest- edges dull somewhat quickly

Amazing set, You will not be disappointed.
Im an avid whittler and have been doing so for a few years and i have to say, of all the knives ive boughten, this kit is all around amazing. The blades stay sharp, even with use of harder woods (oak, pecan, etc) and when they do dull (honestly you wont have that problem for several months of regular use) the sharpening stones provided, if used correctly, get them just like new with minimal effort. Hardcase is perfect for whittling on the go, i usually clip mine onto my belt loop while walking to work and get some time in then, and the selection of blade tips makes any cut you need easy to maneuver. One of the only items ive boughten that was so good i ordered a second. Highly reccomend.

Multiple broken parts on multiple deliveries
I had these given as a Christmas gift from my wife. When we opened it up all the stones were broken. I contacted amazon and went through the exchange process and had a new set sent out. This time 2 of the stones were broken. The tools themselves are much smaller and more toy like than it appears from looking at them on amazon as well. Just save your money and get a nicer, bigger set elsewhere.

Garbage
I ordered these and I didn’t expect much because of the price. But I expected that it would at least be sharp enough to get a single use out of them. The smallest gouge tool didn’t do any gouging and it was a fail. Don’t bother with these, at least the case was decent. Sharpening stones were equally garbage.

Nice set good quality but not professional.
I am getting in the whistling and have done some few works. This wy first set and I have to say it's a good one for starters is not really a set for someone that is getting serious about whistling. After working with theses tools for a while, I have to say that they do the job. They are sharp so use gloves when working with and keep them sharp because contrarialy many people think sharp tools requires less effort and doing so less accidents. The set is nice and comes with everything, well, almost, be wise you have to buy a good knife too you are getting in this hoby.

Toys, but better than expected
These are actually very high quality for what they are, but they are toys, only useful for very small jobs. I'm a novice myself, so the work isn't great but i have attached a photo. I do highly recommend taking a class before using these chisels so as to avoid injury.

Great for Beginners
Bought this as an introductory set into whittling, and thought it was a great deal. The tools are diverse, solidly built, and the whetstones and case are appreciated. I doubt these would be good for someone more experienced, though.

Great beginner carving tools!
Having tried many carving tools over the years, these were a bargain for entry level craft/ soft wood carving tools. I've paid more than double for similar tools, plus a case is included, which is very rare. Great bargain.

Good for Beginner Wood Carvers
The tools themselves are good if you're looking to get into wood carving as a beginner. They're a little flimsy feeling and I don't think they'll last incredibly long from the look of it, especially on tougher projects, but by then you'll likely be well enough into the craft to have purchased some higher quality tools. The case however feels fairly sturdy and could be used well after the tools have expired.
