When training any dog for security and defense, the thing to remember is that nothing is indestructible. My German shepherd pup is playing and he has put a big dent in the bite pad. I won't start training with the arm pads until he is a year old and more obedient to commands. Plus the maturity plays a big role in training. He has been introduced to the pads and rubber stick. I practice with the bite pad to gage how much he is interested or just playing. A puppy teeth are devastating to any bite pad and his are no exception. It's holding up better than I expected. My goal with the bite pad is to get him to bite and hold till commanded to release. He's still a puppy and playing is still priority but he is eager to please me. When I switch to the arm pads it will be on command to attack and hold till told to release. He gets to play with it and to build confidence up that it is not a bad thing. Like I said he's still a puppy and his mouth is not big enough to get a good grip on it but he gives it his best. For the money you can't go wrong with this product.

The bite sleeve is built fairly well on the interior, and it’s plenty big for sure-But our great Dane working dog ruined this thing on his fourth clench.We literally didn’t get 30 minutes out of it.It might be OK for recreation but it certainly is not a professional quality product or more professional trainers.

Appeared sturdy at first but not for real training. My 80 pound pit destroyed the tug within 10 min. tearing off both ends. He got hold of the pleather beat stick and took it away from me shredding it in about the same time. The sleeve held up fairly well but comes apart into 2 pieces so you have to stop and reassemble it. I think this is ment for "fun" and lap dogs. All in all it was not over priced and was a good value. Just not for serious training.I purchased a subsequent bite sleeve from another professional supplier which is great. BUT...so was the price.

Good product for a beginner dog in Shutshund. Don’t use it long term the soft sleeve presents an issue when you move to a hard sleeve with a bite bar. Overall I love the product it’s great for a puppy.

I got this to play with my pets not Train dogs. And it didn’t hold up! With in one week I could feel my dog biting thru it and marking my arm. In that week may have got one hour use(6- 10 min play sessions) might be good for a small dog , but not for bully breads
