Blade Conversion Kit

Finally was able to use blade on SRM-225. Everything you'll need is here. Some stuff you don't need is here too. No, I'm not wearing that stupid red circular sign. Anyway, this is the real deal and everything fits and works. Easy Peasy. You'll have to disassemble the string head and then install these parts. Takes a couple of minutes, tops. Instructions are good and easy to follow if you have even minimal reading comprehension. FWIW, I wouldn't spend the additional $$ to get the kit with the blade - it's only stamped sheet metal. There are a lot of alternatives here on Amazon that have carbide teeth. That's what you want. Guaranteed you're going to try to cut rocks at some time. Rocks have adverse effects on sheet metal. You've been warned.

Some better instructions on how to decide which replacement cap to use would be great. Telling someone that the shaft is xx millimeteres then, follow step B. etc. isn't very helpful since they don't state where it should be measured from. Also, I found watching a few youtube videos beforehand was more helpful than the instructions.

It took a few tries to get it right, but once assembled properly, it works great! We have a lot of property and needed to clear thick brush, and this works really well for it. It only comes with the adapter and shield. You will need to purchase a blade with this kit as well.

Really nice to have, cuts through that low brush in a breeze. Fit like a charm on my trimmer, review your model number and order the right one and your good to go. Wasn't to bad to install and there are Youtube videos to walk you through it.

Worked perfectly. I have cleared 1/2 acre, cuts up to 4" limbs with a swing. Very fast work, a bit of fun also. Easy install, directions ok. A lot of leftover parts. Used the blade Amazon recommended as add on. They are like saw blade. If I the this away now I've gotten every bit of my money's worth.

This is everything you need for retrofitting a Echo SRM-series trimmer to use a saw blade. The collars are the key the whole kit, everything else is optional to use. The metal guard actually you might have to use because the clearance is tighter than with the trimmer line head. Expensive for what it is, plus you need a blade with the right diameter/arbor.

With this I can use diablko saw blades on my whacker which tears through the brush where the sage is 2-3 inches thick. Glad I got this.
