Pandigital Pantouch PAN8000DWPCF1 8-Inch Touchscreen LCD Digital Picture Frame with 1 GB Internal Memory (Espresso Brown)

I purchased the Pantouch digital picture frame as a gift for my sister (who is not very tech savvy). We travel quiet a bit and I take lots of photos. I decided to upload our travel photos (which I have on my MAC in Iphoto) into the Pantouch before giving it to her. I soon realized that the Pandigital picture frame was not compatible with a MAC (not true). It is better suited for a PC (Windows). I contacted Pandigital customer support and they confirmed that the USB cable (provided) would not be useful to transfer photos from iphoto (on my MAC) to the Pantouch. They said I could only upload the photos into the Pantouch if they were still on the memory card, which they weren't. I was disappointed, but I knew there must be a way to get around this minor technicality. There is! If you are a MAC user, don't be discouraged from purchasing the Pandigital Pantouch. It is a great digital frame and you will enjoy it immensely. It is very simple to transfer photos, videos and mp3s. All you have to do is transfer the photos, videos or mp3's from your MAC to a memory card/stick or thumb drive (flash drive). Once the items are on a memory card or thumb/flash drive, you can upload them to your Pantouch digital frame. You can organize them in separate folders, program the frame to display/play at certain times of day, etc. It is very easy to use. My sister (who is not tech savvy) learned how to use it easily and quickly. She loves it! She has it on all the time and enjoys it very much. She also likes the calendar feature and the (preloaded) recipes from Bon Apettit. If you like displaying your photos, videos and playing your favorite tunes, you will love Pandigital Pantouch. I'm going to purchase one for myself as well.

I received my item but it was LCD and not LED photo frame. Looks like Amazon.com has technical problem on the site which describes this item as LED as product title.After talking to customer service representative; they could not replace it so have to return it.

Gave this to my husband for his birthday. He loves it and gets lots of compliments on it. He loaded tons of photos and music. The music will play while you are watching a slide show. You can even set a timer so it goes off or comes on when you want it to. You can even load recipes on it and view them while cooking. The touch screen is very cool.

Don't buy this. This is junk. Amazon and their seller Factory Depot won't accept a return after 30 days. After spending weeks and several phone calls to Pandigital trying to get it to display my photos, I am now (on Aug 29) told that any photos that have been edited (for example, to remove red-eye)need to be reformatted by opening with Paint and re-saving. This would require untold hours to perform: since you can't tell an unedited photo from an edited photo, this means every single photo would have to be reformatted. Unfortunately Pandigital didn't tell me this until today, well past the 30-day return period has expired. Amazon was no help.Shame on Pandigital and shame on Amazon. Wal-mart knows better than to treat their customers like this.

I was very excited to received my digital frame only to be disappointed upon opening the package. The espresso paint on the frame had bubbled and cracked off in the corner. This leads me to believe the quality of the frame is low quality so I will be returning and searching for a new brand. No quality assurance check a their site. The mats that came with it are also cheap looking. Never got a chance to load any pictures because I could not get past the cracked paint so I cannot comment about anything else.. I would not buy this if you are looking for a quality look.

First off, and most important, any prospective buyer should know that Pandigital went bankrupt and is no longer in business. I found that out when I went to register my warranty -- there is no company to register with! Now, with that said, if you are willing to take the associated risk, this frame is really nice! Mine worked great right out of the box. The instructions are bad in that they simply don't address transferring photos directly from a computer, but it's all pretty automatic once you power up the unit and connect it to the computer with the USB cable provided.I bought this item because I hate remotes. I have too many of them already. The touchscreen works great and allows for easy manipulation of the pictures. (There are controls on the back of the frame, as there is with most, but I find these hard to use while viewing the pictures.) The brown wood frame in my opinion looks so much better than other plastic, or even other wood, frames out there. The "floating" picture (clear around the mat) is a nice look.My only complaint is size. Although an 8" picture, the overall frame size is somewhat large, certainly larger than I had anticipated.All-in-all I really like this frame. I just hope it continues to work since, effectively, there is no warranty.

It's the best so far I have seen, compared to the other offered by other sites, and I love it, so beautiful easy to operate without the use of a computer all I expected as advertized, this is what you should be offering your customers, the best. why I gave it 5 stars, and I would recomend it to my friends.

Smaller screen than anticipated and more difficult to program.
