Good purchase much needed for my recording!

The LED's within it spread the light source evenly in behind the sign and makes the sign bright and easy to read. The only issue I have with the sign is the battery powered source needs to be a solid 1.5 volts. Fresh alkaline batteries seem to be no problems but once the batteries go below 1.2 volts each it is not enough to drive the LED's and turns off. So the batteries lasted about 8 hours x 5 days. The voltage of NIMH batteries about 1.3 volts fully charged doesn't seem to be enough to drive the LED's. I am now trying an old battery bank with USB output to the usb-c connector. That seems solid.

Hey, it is a low budget item. From two feet away it looks just fine and it lights up bright even in a well lit room. I purchased it for Christmas for my daughter's background on her video blogging site. If the story ended there I would give it 5-stars for value vs cost.My issue, (and I guess technically the description did not say "operates on battery power OR USB connection"!), the light does NOT work with JUST the USB connection - WITHOUT batteries installed. So I really couldn't say in a court of law that the USB connection works at all!?! HA!With batteries installed - is it really operating on USB power??? I guess if/when the batteries die we will find out. As long as the batteries last a reasonable length of time, I guess it will be okay!?!I am personally disappointed because I would rather connect it to a USB power supply and never install batteries

I'm a licensed ham radio operator and I recently added this to my ham shack. It's a fun novelty item and people find it quite amusing. I put batteries in it and I expect them to last a long time since I don't turn it on very often. Just during weekly radio sessions. I used Velcro with adhesive to attach it to the wall. It's very vibrant and has an appealing look to it. I've never seen these in a store so I decided to grab one here. Very pleased with it.
