cute and relaxing
good for a desk or table at home. I like the sand art a lot. I wouldn't give it to small children though.

They allow your mind to relax.
You can really drift off into space if you stare at them long enough, but they allow the mind to relax. A wheel came off of the water bubbler but Amazon replaced it no problem so it was ok.

Always wanted one, cheap enough to indulge, use it daily.
I find myself flipping it a lot. But then I realized I have moving art, so I started only flipping it once a day. Found myself obsessed about the material that was falling, it started appreciates the landscape as it fell. You don't have to worry about where you are, just that you're moving and will eventually land where you want to be.

Quality depends on where these items “live”
Yes, these products feel a little cheap. However I think it’s important to put the items in perspective of use. Given how they will be used and where they will live I think determines if they are cheap or not. For example, these two devices are not cheap if they are for children. I think they do what they are supposed to. They are lightweight and plastic. They provide movement and entertainment. Now if they are for adults in an office or living room I think I would say they are a little on the cheap side. They don’t look good enough to be placed in an office like a glass sandscape with a fancy base would for example. The colors are a little more childish in my opinion to. Where this also changes is the type of office. If these items were to be used in a principals office or perhaps a therapy office then, again, I would consider the quality to be perfectly reasonable. All in all, I think they are fine. I have them for my grandkids to play with and they enjoy them. I don’t worry about them breaking and even if they did I do not think they are very expensive so I don’t worry about it. They provide a fun visual effect and something that the child can manipulate easily due to size.

Fun, but especially the sand art seems cheaply made
I used to crave a sandscape painting like this more than anything when they first were popular in the 1970s, and now I finally got one! And as a bonus, the bubbler toy. My 16 year old daughter is autistic, and she really took to the bubbler, and spent a lot of time tipping it over and watching the bubbles move. It seems better made than the sand painting. The sand one looks very, very cool when it works, but often the sand seems to get stuck when you turn it over, so all the sand stays on top and doesn't filter down, even after you wait hours! When it does work, it creates the great mountain-look scenes I had dreams of seeing all those years ago, but it seems like about 1 turn out of 3 works!

The timer is great the sand art is mostly water
Its cute but the sand art frame is mostly water and doesnt have the effect you'd imagine by slowly dropping sand and creating different patterns. This just drops and the water gets murky and then settles. The timer is nice and works as expected. It has a nice optical illusion when the droplets fall on the dial and make them spin. It would be more giftable if it has more sand and less water, and if it were to fall im sure it would break easily as it is thin plastic.

Slightly disappointed for the price due to small size.
So both of these look just like online pics and perform without any manufacturing flaws. The smaller pinwheel water spinner is exactly as expected. I had a sandscape as a kid and remember playing with it for years, just endlessly watching the miniscule fine sand granules make new designs everytime I inverted it. This one is so dang small!! I am a female and the inside of the picture frame is about the size of my hand! This works fine, it is just the size that is a bit of a let down. I think for this price, even with both toys, it is over priced.
