UPDATE 3 years in - September 23, 2023- this belt is still in brand new condition no twisting no warping no cracking no aging at all and I’ve been using it as an every day belt for three years. I am at 440 pound man and big guys are rough on belts. This belt has proven to be the best belt that I could ever imagine. Are used to be buying belts at big buck stores, on a monthly basis, they were laminated with paper and cardboard and rubberized. None of that this belt is thick, solid leather. This belt will hold your holster. This belt will hold your nice knife sheath no matter what you need this belt will stand up to any abuse you can give it . I left it in my suitcase on a trip to the keys from Orlando and it rained and soaked the suitcase, I left it in there for a couple of days and a little bit of mold, kind of formed on the surface. I, simply why did off with a rag and it looks brand new again. This is the best belt ever if it is a big man’s dream ice can’t stress it enough. This is the belt that every big man needs and then he can stop wasting money on other bills this is the one this is the final belt that you’ll need. I actually bought a second belt fir a buddy of mine, his shoes no wear and just as satisfied.I cringe thinking if all of the $20 and $30 crappy belts I’ve thrown away over the years after only a few uses. The made in China era certainly cost me tons of money. This is the last belt I will ever need. I’m 54 years old and am sure this belt will long outlast me.UPDATE MAY 3 2022: My belt still looks brand new after daily wear for 17 months now. After not finding any quality belts in the stores, wanting the size and quality build of the one I purchased 8 years ago in a store, I went online and poured through tons of varying products. Anymore, it's difficult buying online as one cannot inspect the quality of the product and there's a lot of bait and switch where companies tell you you are buying genuine leather only to discover that it's not.Anyway, after much deliberation I took a chance and bought this American made belt and just received it today. It's exactly the same belt I bought several years ago, though my old belt didn't have a name brand on it....but it's identical. Heavy duty leather, same buckle and double stitched edges.So, about the sizing, it can be a little confusing since most manufacturers have slightly differing methods. In my case, I wear some pants that are 34 waist, but most jeans I have are a 35 that sits below the waist. Therefore, I went for a 36 waist and ordered the 38 size belt. That's 38" from the buckle fold end to the center of the 3rd and 4th holes from the other end. The overall length of the leather, ( not including the buckle of course), is 44.5". This is important if you need to have enough leather to tuck into the loop on your pants. I have a few belts (36" size for a 34" wasit), where there is barely enough to tuck and you have a short piece of leather "hanging out". In the stores, I have compared my old belt length of a listed 38" size and they are shorter than what a had. This belt is about a 1/2" longer than my old one.Please note the color of the brown belt you see on Amazon is not quite right. It may be their lighting when they took the shot. It is actually a darker brown than shown...which is what I really wanted. So I'm happy. My old belt is 8 years old and stretched out a bit, so I needed a replacement and I expect this belt, though pricier than what I expected, seems very solid and well constructed, and I anticipate it will last years as well. If I have any issues, I will update my review, but I think you will see this product vs other junk products available in stores and online is worth the extra dollars.

The product info says order one size larger than your pants size. I wear a size 38 pants, so I ordered a size 40 belt. When I tried it on, it was on the very last hole (too small). So, I returned that one and ordered the next size up. Fast-forward another week, received the size 42. This one is on the last hole, except on the other end (too big). There’s no in-between. The belt is very high quality. Made of thick cowhide leather. The dye hasn’t rubbed off or anything and is reasonably comfortable. I’ve struggled in the past to find a nice belt that will work with multiple occasions (work/church/dinner/bumming around in shorts/whatever). This belt definitely fits that bill and I expect will last a really long time. It seems to be very nice, sturdy, and durable. I just wish that the proper size had a few more belt notches so it would fit right.

This belt is a solid and attractive belt. I have a belt that I bought 30 years ago that isn’t this well made. I have no doubt that it will outlive me. I’m going to buy another one in black, and then I will never have to buy another belt as long as I live if I don’t want to.
