Industrial Light Bulb Cage 4 Pack, DIY Vintage Style Light Cage for Pendant Light Wall Lamp, Edison Lamp Guard, Industrial Lamp Cage, Wall Light Guard

I purchased these "cages" to refresh a dated ceiling fan, and replace the tacky flower-shaped frosted glass light shades that came with the fan. First, please note that the diameter of the base will not work for this purpose. That being said, I was able to McGuyver these into fitting my ceiling fan fixture using heavy duty plastic zip ties. Kinda hard to explain, but basically, by tying the cages to the screws that would normally hold the flower shades in place. All this to say - if you're not handy, these aren't going to work for a ceiling fan refresh. BUT they will certainly look cute if used as intended, as part of a pendant light socket.

Bought an old fan for $10, flipped the blades, spray painted the metal, ordered these globes and love the outcome. Could use with them without the bottom part of the cage.

I order these style cages frequently. They're well constructed and sturdy. This order, however, wasn't as good. Paint stretched off easily, and the two clips that hold the end cap on are not formed quite right, so one side won't latch, while the other side gets stuck so that you can't get it to release to take the cap off. All in all, these are still nice lamp guards.

I am so happy about the decision I made to order these, I was going to order a whole new ceiling fan because it wasn't matching to the rest of my house. I had been going to Home Depot and Lowes to try to find something local and at the moment kind of change. I looked for these, and I am just in love with the change. Out with the Old in with the New really speaks....

They look great. I left the bottom open, didn't attach the closure part. Love the way they look so open.

These cages are great quality and allow for easy changing of the bulbs.
