Great play
Lovely play with an interesting storyline. I read it for a playwriting class. This play was one of my favorites of what we’ve read so far.

Theatrics as the entry door to a societal expression.
Excellent book condition. I am not fluent in Spanish; discovered Lorca via the excellent movie: La luz Prodigiosa; decided to deepen the investigation via this book. Since it is published for students, the preamble has a breath of info on author, main characters, societal "rules," symbols and meaning, etc. Superb. Finally, the Spanish and English publishing of the text allows me to improve on the Spanish as I so desire.

The translation needs improvement
The translation quality is very low. Had I known this I would not buy the book.

Best adaptation
For high school students, it is a beautiful adaptation.I found it user-friendly, while keeping the integrity of the story intact. It also keeps theemotional moments of the characters in place. It was easy to cut into a One-Act version as requiredfor competition purposes.Good work Ms Mann!

It's Lorca - if you're a fan of this great dramatist, this is a pretty good translation.

Good I have expected
Very good, fantastic book

Useful as it is a dual text
I have to study a novel as part of the new A-level exam...or rather my students do so we picked this one. I love to read for enjoyment but analysing a text is not one of my strengths so I bought this version to use with my A-level group as it seems the most student (and teacher) friendly. Also as the group happens to be all girls we thought this text would be the most interesting one for them to read of the texts on offer plus there are a number of resources "out there" to supplement it.

A great read and teaching support.
Excellent. For anybody trying to learn Spanish, this is fantastic, it has 1 page in Spanish then on the other page is in English. I have used it for A level Spanish written understanding.
