Perfect Resource
I checked this book out at the Public Library and liked it so much that I wanted my own copy for "my library". Thank you.

Great book, perfect condition, fabulous price!
Great book! I own the 1st edition and have used it until the pages are falling out! I purchased the 2nd edition when searching for a replacement for the very well and often used guide, and am very pleased! The old and new together in one location, AND lots of new additions that I am thoroughly enjoying! AND TO TOP IT OFF, this is an unused “used” book, like new condition! And a terrific price! Couldn’t be happier with my purchase! Thank you!

Many patterns were incorrect
This is a very expensive book for the number of patterns that had incorrect counts. If you're an experienced crocheter, and able to detect and correct the patterns, it's a good book.

Amazing for zero experienced beginner!!!
My aunt taught me how to crochet and she had a copy of this book, 10 minutes later I had my copy ordered. This is the Bible of crochet terms, abbreviations, stitches and has great pictures!Something that I would like to see would be left handed variations of the stitches as I am a lefty so I have to kind of work that detail out on my own.Lastly, I think what would make it the best book ever would be if it was spiral bound, but I guess I can take it to kinkos and have it done.Overall I absolutely love this book!

Best book on crochet
Huge selection of crochet books. Took a chance on this one and I'm so glad I did. Absolutely love it. Illustrations for all stitches discussed, text clear. I have made hats and scarfs for all my grandchildren this year with new stitches I have not used before. Buy it, this book is the best.

Handy Guide to New and Interesting Crochet Stitches
I have been crocheting since childhood. I found this Photo Guide very useful in introducing me to new stitches and styles of crochet that have come along in recent years. The photographs are clear and detailed so you can really see each step in the process. I am having great fun trying out the various techniques in this book. I know that I will be going back to it again and again. And, it is handy to have it on my Kindle, which is easy to take along with me when I travel. I don't know if "old dogs" can learn new tricks, but I have certainly had fun learning the new techniques in this well done guide.

Stop researching and buy from this company!
Paracord was exactly as described. I cut an inch off and split it open for inspection. Kern (internal strands) contains 8 strands as promised with one strand being a yellow or gold color. Each strand is three threads twisted together. True mil spec as far as I can tell. Definitely worth the price and it is made in America by Americans and I'm all about helping American companies especially veterans owned companies. I'll end up using quite a bit of my purchased roll for my jeep's off-road bag and of course my hunting bag. You just never know when you'll need a strong rope for something and paracord can't be beat.

Excellent guide for beginners, but the First Edition has more techniques
I owned the first edition of this book, and thought it was an excellent resource for beginners, and also the large number of stitches made it somewhat handy for more experienced crocheters as well. When I learned that a Second Edition was coming out, I got rid of the First Edition, thinking it would have everything the old version had, but more. That was an error on my part. The Second Edition does not have several of the special technique sections that the First Edition had. Namely:In the Special Crochet Techniques section, this Second Edition contains:*One Piece, Top Down*Intermeshing Crochet*Freeform Crochet*Hairpin Lace Crochet*Broomstick Lace CrochetHowever, the previous edition had all of the above, PLUS it had:*Tapestry Tunisian*Bruges Lace*Polish Star*Overlay CrochetIt does contain different projects from the first edition, but the broomstick lace hat, which is very attractive, is also available free on a Crafting website. The other projects are okay, but I would not buy this book simply for the few projects included.I wish the original material had been kept, in particular, those on Overlay Crochet (by Melody MacDuffee) and the Polish Star (by Pauline Turner), as it is more useful to me to have these more rare techniques included in one volume. To me, the trade-off of getting 20 new stitches and new projects, was not an attractive one. This is also not made clear in any of the book's promotional write-ups, which only emphasises the inclusion of new material, but fails to mention several sections were removed. As I am an advanced crocheter, it is these very sections that are of interest to me.For this Second Edition, I purchased the Kindle version. It is handy, obviously, as it does not take up space. It is reasonably easy to read and find things. A minus would be that the photo of stitches, their charts, and the written instructions are viewed across several pages in some cases. This means you have to flip back and forth. However, this is often a common trade-off for ebooks, so acceptable. So, in short, I would recommend the Complete Photo Guide to Crochet, 2nd edition, as being a useful addition to a crocheter's library, especially for beginners. If you are advanced, it might not prove very useful, especially as it lacks the depth of techniques that the First Edition had. As I already have Melody MacDuffee's standalone book on overlay crochet, the main loss for me is Pauline Turner's Polish Star section. At the time I purchased the Kindle Edition, the Second Edition was significantly cheaper than the First Edition. If the price levels out or price is not a concern, I would suggest getting the First Edition instead, if you are more interested in techniques.Overall, either edition is probably not a must-have for anyone with a substantial crochet library. But if you don't have many crochet books or are looking for one volume that contains very clear photo explanations combined with a large stitch library, this book is excellent, as the step-by-step photographed instructions are well presented.

Buenisimo
