The Message in the Hollow Oak (Nancy Drew, Book 12) Paperback – December 8, 1988

All the Nancy Drew books are excellent - perfect to develop a 8 or 9 year olds love for reading. The stories are all so interesting. We cherish our mother daughter routine of reading these books together every night. Also the characters are wholesome. There is a line drawn between good and evil. Some of the more contemporary books like Junie B. Jones have main characters that I would never want my daughter to emulate with bad attitudes, etc. Nancy Drew is not afraid of ANYTHING or ANYONE and is always finding adventure while solving mysteries.

Although written as YA series, I am a senior and enjoying the stories. No gore, but suspense and mystery. Who could ask for more?

This book is awesome!!!!! I recommend this book for girls who love mysteries. There are over 64 other Nancy Drew books! I've read more than 15 of them! You may not think this one is that great, but there are other ones that are way better. I am 13 and have been trying to read as many Nancy Drew books as I can get.

This was a pretty good treasure hunt mystery, but now I'm curious as to what the original mystery was like. Guess I'll have to check it out!Yeah, I gave it four stars. I felt like it still wasn't developed enough and the villains were kinda dumb. There were a few scenes that seemed out of place as well, but overall, it's pretty good nonetheless.

I read Nancy Drew books many years ago and loved every single one of them. Nancy was way ahead of her time in being an independent young woman. I am now sharing these books with my granddaughters and find them just as exciting and creative as they were when I was a youngster. I especially liked this one since the setting was near St. Louis, MO and also in Southern Illinois, both places near my home. After reading the book I am sure that my granddaughters will want to visit the St. Louis Arch as well as the Ancient Native American archeological sites in Southern Illinois.

Love these books. I began reading as well as collecting them in High School.

For being a used book, I am very satisfied with its condition.

The book is in mostly great condition, flip it over that there is a library sticker colored out in sharpie. Peeled it off but left an unfortunate stain from the sharpie. Bummer.

My granddaughter hasn't read this one yet but she is on book 11 in the series we wanted her to have the next one in the series and we will continue to do this until she has the whole series. She really enjoys these classic books. It is so much better for a young girl to read these kind of books rather then reading about Beyonce or some similar skank.

This book holds a very interesting and mysterious story, I loved how the atmosphere of jealousy and awkwardness spread between Nancy, Art and Ned..........great book😉😉😎
