Works fine. Used once, grass underneath it looks ok ( no scorching).

Have used this user my fire pit on my lawn and the grass showed no sign of heat damage.

Excellent heat shield. Delivered fast. No issues so far after 3 uses.

This May works but it’s not 100% effective. I have just used it underneath my fire pit on my lawn. I now have a scorched hexagon which is the shape of my fire pit base on my lawn. That was after a couple of hours use. It’s certainly better than nothing but I think that doubling up and having 2 would probably provide the protection needed for use on a lawn. I can’t recommend buying this on my experience.

This is the first time we have been able to use the fire pit without losing the lawn beneath. The mat worked brilliantly! When we cleared up the following day, there was lush green grass, exactly as stated. It’s too early to confirm durability but the mat looked as nee after it’s first use.

Wasn't sure based on the mixed reviews but having now used it I'm definitely not disappointed. The mat has been used under a fire pit that doubles as a bbq and stands about 1ft above the ground. I bought the mat after scortching and killing my grass, but having used the mat with the firepit under exactly the same conditions several times now, having removed the mat post bbq the grass is still in perfect condition. I see no reason the same results would be had if used on decking but I've not tried this.

Seems okay using as a kettle bbq mat to protect patio. Using black side up .

Does the job well. A tad pricey but kept the grass at the campsite burn free!
