Good for the money. Brakes are marginal.
This bike is nice for the money. It's pretty light weight. The shifter is the old style lever mounted at the center of the handlebars, but works well after a few adjustments. My biggest complaint is the brakes. They aren't "strong". After adjusting the caliper position to be as close to centered on the disc as possible, then tightening the cable to get the pads as close to the disc as possible without dragging, you still have to really squeeze hard to slow down. Granted I'm comparing it to road bikes that cost 3x this much (which have hydraulic disc brakes, or old style rim brakes, not mechanical cable actuated disc brakes like this bike), I think they could do better. It's usable, but annoying. I rode the bike about 150 miles right after assembly, and have enjoyed it so far.

Good value for the cost
I had been looking to replace an old road bike after the cost to repair it from an accident was going to be close to the cost of a new bike. I'm pretty short so I needed a road bike that was on the smaller side and most that I could find were significantly more expensive or way too large of a frame for me to ride comfortably.I was very impressed that for the cost the bike came with disk brakes and decent components. When it arrived it was easy to assemble. It suggests (and I would agree) that you get it adjusted professionally unless you really know what you are doing because it definitely needed some tuning to get the shifting smoothed out and proper tension on the brakelines. It's been comfortable on rides over an hour and had enough gears to get me up the steeper hills around here. I'm pretty happy with the bike. The only thing I've upgraded are the pedals which were the only part of the bike that seemed "cheap." Even if the pedals had been nicer I'd have still swapped them for my old ones which clipped on but if I hadn't already had a better set of pedals I'd have been buying some to replace the stock ones.

First road bike!
Pros:Light weightComes 70% to 80% assembled in OEM box.I was able to put it together within an hour (I never assembled a bike before).Resonable priced for the aluminium bike, based on my research.Cons:Tires looks almost worn out, out of the OEM box.Shifter makes noise, a professioinal tune-up may cost $60 to $80. I had read that in one of ther review. That makes the bike cost really ~$450.

No kickstand--supposed to be racing bike I guess
It is very slow--I got the same speed on my fixed speed exercise bike.tires are very small---cost $85 at two different bike stores to get it assembled correctly. The brakes are nice but that's all I can recommend--also, steering is very vague---had it safety checked and corrected--still terrible..can't be ridden hands free..

Very Pleased!
Bike arrived exactly as described in great packaging and condition! Directions could have been better but assembly wasn’t extremely difficult (for a novice). Bike rides smooth but I plan on taking the bike to be tuned by a professional.

Really like this Bike
I feel the bike is a great value. When assembling you have to take your time. You will figure it out. The instructions were not that bad. I did 90 percent on my own. If you put together a bike before you will not have any problems. I already put 10 mile on it. It is a great ride. I used the old seat from my old bike just because I spent so much money for it. The only problem I had was the disc breaks. I never had them before but got them adjusted and rolling. For the value dont miss out on this bike. It has gone up in price already. Probably because of the popularity.

Great entry level road bike!
My 13 year old son wanted to upgrade from an old mountain bike to a road bike, and after research we settled on the Tuono T20. The assembly was fairly straight forward, although a few extra photos would have helped. The only tricky part of the assembly was the disc brakes, as the Vilano assembly videos are only of the conventional shoe style brakes. My son is happy so far, it is very lightweight and requires a lot less effort to get up to speed than his old bike. The disc brakes have been a bit touchy...first they squealed badly. But after lightly lubricating them to stop the squeal, they weren't stopping the bike. Cleaning the pads with isopropyl alcohol seemed to eliminate the squeal and still provide gripping power.Note that there are only pegs for a single water bottle holder, which isn't enough for longer rides. We added another with the clip-on style bottle holder.
