Pulse pounding
Bear comes through with another gripper off a book. These world ending threats are snagged at the last possible minute. Bravo

Fast pace, small details of being in the wild (and living to tell)
Nice, easy read, but paced quick, with enough details about different parts of the world, and medical details about treatment for things that happened in a prior chapter or book. The story seems almost believable, but thankfully not true. After blasting thru the first book, I bought the second and liked it equally well.

Thrilling
Bear Grylls is not only full of action on the screen he fills his books with it as well. It took me a while but I finally got all three in the series and now it's read. It's a vere well written story with bad guys going all the way back to the second world war. This is a really good thriller adventure story in three parts.

The page-turning third book in the series - demonic Nazi forces at work to destroy civilization
Tight and tense as the search continues for missing WWII German nuclear materials and a NAZI obsessed mastermind with limitless resources and a goal to destabilize world governments and destroy populations to further his influence and advance the goals of those like him. Another excellent tale in the series. Bring on volume four. Well worth the time.

Great read
Completely sucked in by this series, I will be reading more from the mind of Bear Grylls and I'm excited to do so.

Bloody good.
Who knew an ex SAS Terrier could write an engaging and compulsive read?I bough the first of the three Jaeger books some time ago and forgot about it, but found it in a house move and finally read it. Having finished a damned good read covering just about everything I like (WW2, mad Germans and numerous sub plots) I immediately bought 2 & 3 for my Kindle and just binge read them into the small hours.Well done Mr. Grylls, simply brilliant story telling and detailed and informative action; these are thoroughly recommended. Is there to be another? Will Jaeger and Narov get it on? Get writing Bear, I want more 👍

Couldn't put the book down.
Really enjoyed the third book in this series. I admit though, I bought the previous two books on audio for £8 from The Works, as I couldn't remember all the characters. Having done that, I was ready to start this book and once started, was engrossed. It's very much in the style of 'The A Team' at times but I still enjoyed all of their adventures. The ending has a bit of a surprise and as someone said previously, I would like to know what happened with Narov and Jaeger, as the end did come quite quickly and maybe another chapter would have tied this up.Also, there was no mention of the aircraft or its contents in the mountain, so I am wondering if there will be a further book which will tie up the 'loose ends'.

Disappointed by the increasingly bad language!
Having read his autobiography (great!) and one of his fiction books with my daughter, I was looking forward to reading The Hunt by Bear Grylls. As a story it was gripping and the style of writing good too (I’m a fan of John Grisham and wondered how Bear would compare against such an incredible author) so I was pleasantly surprised as I started reading. However, as the story progressed some bad language crept in, which at first I tried to overlook hoping it was just perhaps one character in the story that used bad language. Unfortunately as the book continued, not only does the language become worse and more frequent but, the language is also used in the authors description of what is happening - I just find this totally unnecessary and sadly (as there are no guidance / ratings for books) means I won’t be reading any more of the series. Yes, real life is gritty and at times unbelievably unpleasant but we all have a choice how to tell those stories and much wisdom is needed - especially when there is no way for a reader to know what the content of a book will be (again no ratings!) and so we are dependent on either reviews (like this one) to warn us or ideally, the reputation of the authors we choose to read! ☹️

A writer distracted.
The story fumbles from location to location, without much of a narative. Weak dialogue and character development, repetitive language and terms. I’m not going to put spoilers in this reveiw, but it just ‘ends’. There is no come down, epilogue, anything. It just stops. Which is a weak reward for those who have invested their time and money into 3 books. Editorial contribution and effort is missing.

A great read
A great read, I love the, style a d discriptive nature of Bear's adventures. His attention to detail is perfectly balanced and keeps you reading in anticipation of what is coming. If I had to be really critical, I would say that Bear is a very busy man and this book gives a slight hint of his distraction by other projects while writing this brilliant book. I can't wait for his next outing and will definitely be prs-ordering. Thank you for being part of my literary journey Mr Grylls.
