Joe Dolan: The Official Biography

Very well written , great insight into the life of Joe Dolan .

I knew Joe Dolan because of the hits he had over here but knw little about his life.The man was a singing powerhouse who never stopped performing even until his premature death.I found this book very interesting and it showed Joe as a very friendly and approachable man, to read that he was a huge star in Russia was amazing and they knew his songs well which moved him.I also decided to buy some ofo Joe's cd's and have enjoyed hearing some familiar favourites and some that were new to me.

I GREW UP LISTENING TO ALL THE FABULOUS SONGS THAT JOE DOLAN RECORDED AND THEY ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL BETTER EVEN ON MY WORST DAYS.JOE WAS NOT JUST A GREAT ENTERTAINER HE WAS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON.THE AMOUNT OF WORK HE DID FOR CHARITY WAS ASTOUNDING HE. COULD HAVE BEEN A MILLIONAIRE MANY TIMES OVER BUT HE LOVED THE COMMON PEOPLE.OF ALL THE SONGS JOE DOLAN RECORDED MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE IS ITS YOU ITS YOU ITS YOU BUT THERE'S NOT A BAD SONG OR ALBUM JOE RECORDED AND AS WITH THE MUSIC OF TODAY THEY WILL NEVER BE DATED I WILL MISS YOU JOE KEEP SINGING AND WE WILL MEET SOMEDAY .THANKS TO RONAN CASEY FOR A GREAT INSIGHT TO THE FABULOUS MAN THAT WAS JOE DOLAN LV AIWAYS LINDA XXXX

i chose this book because i have seen joe in action in the 70's, 80's, 90's, and months before he died in 2007. every time i saw him on stage, he was electrifying. by the end of the night scores of girls young and old would almost rush the stage and he would spend a long time shaking hands and smiling at us. i saw the late late show tribute to him in the late 90's and he never got it wrong. when i heard of this book recently, i had to buy it! the book really gives us a good look at joe the performer wand joe the man. it is brilliantly written and is full of humour and i really felt i knew joe personally by the end of the book. for real joe fans, i really recommend this book; you will not be disapponted

This is a fantastic biography of a great man. Joe and Ronan were going to collaborate in his autobiography before he was so tragically taken from us in 2007. Ronan Casey was brought up knowing Joe as he was his manager's son. You can read the love in the words. Everyone loved Joe because of the fantastic man that he was during his entire life. This all comes through in the book. It is a fantastic read.
