Great Product. Worth the extra price.
Product is great. Image is clear. I have an auxiliary backup light and replaced the stock backup bulbs with strong LED ones but the infrared would give a good image without those! Installation moderately difficult if you have a stock Jeep with OEM spare but straight forward and would take 4 hours if adept. Buy no trim removal tools if you want to avoid scratching your trim. Written directions are poor and the power connection part unusable. Several good YouTube videos covering step by step. Only problem is it seems Jeep changes in small ways each year including what part of dash needs to come off. Find video near your year. My biggest problem which added 3 hours to my installation was my aftermarket AEV spare tire carrier for my 35β wheel and the aftermarket AEV spare gas tank that gets integrated with the carrier. Basically had to take that tank mostly back off to thread the camera wire through a very narrow groove from the tire side to the tailgate side. Be sure you donβt feed your cable through the center of the provided bracket as it will be pinched when the tire is installed and void the warranty. Videos say itβs hard to fish camera cord through tailgate. But my β13 Rubicon Unlimited had a spare grommet near the end of the tailgate and it was easy to feed the wire through it into the inside opening for the wires. Another hint. They supply plenty length of cable. Initially I was conserving it as I ran it across the tailgate, along the flexible cable cover for the other wiring and then fed it in behind the cover which held the subwoofer in my year. The problem I observed after completion was that the short section between the end of the trim on the tailgate and the place where it entered the solid subwoofer section contained a larger hard piece about two inches long. When I closed the tailgate the camera cable flexed at the end of that section always. Probably would eventually fail. Since there was plenty of cable I went back and clipped all my wire ties, pulled the door trim and pulled back about 6β of cable that allowed me to move that hard section back under the tailgate trim leaving straight flexible cable to make that crossing between tailgate and body. On the power connection I followed the videos and connected to the switched power port. Written directions want you to find an obscure wire in a bundle of 30 in passenger footwell. The supplied wiring is not setup to route back to that connection. The difference is with the switched power port the camera is powered whenever the key is on but only displays when you put it in reverse. Written directions would power camera only when in reverse. If that was the desire then they could have powered it back at the backup light harness. Lastly the programming module you plug into the OBD outlet did not do the two horn honks as the videos say. In my case it had small blue led lights that flashed while programming and turned solid green when done. At that point it can be removed and radio is programmed. Good luck. Love the camera. Just finished installing. Will update after some experience using it!

Very nice product
I had a lot of concerns about this aftermarket backup camera. Because this was the older model, there was no paper instructions just a QR code to scan which didn't explain much. Thankfully I've been tracking this camera system for a while, so I've seen all of the youtube videos. Installation was pretty straight forward as far as mounting and cable routing. There is more than enough cable to run from the back to the front of the vehicle. The best thing for me was my aftermarket radio was already wired up for cameras, so all I had to do was connect the AV cable and splice in the pos and neg wires. Overall, I'm glade i purchased this backup camera system. The picture is clear, and the parking lines are spot on. The only thing I have a question on is there are two white wires marked for mirror. I didn't connect them because I have no idea what that is for. If Brandmotion could reach out to me and explain the purpose of the mirror feature, I may go ahead and connect it. This product is worth the time and money especially if you are a DIY type person.

Does Not Work As Advertised
Camera only displays Black and White. Brandmotion's response "Since it is a Amazon purchase you will need to return item." So now I have to take the whole thing out. However, it clearly states that you can not return the item if you have flashed the car. So will they even take the camera back. It is a crock that Brandmotion has a store on Amazon but does not support the items they sell through Amazon. I expected more for the price. I was certainly let down and would not recommend buying this item.

Not worth it for the price
Had to make some minor modifications to the bracket holding the camera cause it did not fit properly with my type of rim, install was easy as long as you have a basic automotive electrical understanding. The inferred lights don't work as good as advertised and picture quality isn't the best but gets the job done, my advise is get some bright led reverse light to aid in the light situation when reversing. For the price I paid it is not worth it if they lowered the price a bit then maybe. I did not return it because I did not want to go through the hassle of disconnecting everything after installation.

Image washed out on OEM screen.
Picture is washed out, as in overbright or over contrast and the image is all black and white due to washout. I want expecting hi res, but when paired with the Jeep OEM screen there is no way to adjust the image and Brand has no solution to help in any way. They make a product tailored for a Jeep/Dodge OEM screen, but canβt make the picture work very well. Product and customer support failure.
