I've only used them for shallow 'holes', but they are good for that
So far all I've used these for is making shallow holes in wood, using my drill press. for making repeated holes/divets in things like stands for decorative orbs or in salt cellars these are great. If I ever get into making a cutting board I'm sure these will be just fine.

Unsafe
The bearings are loose causing the whole router to be unbalanced, and the vibration to effect the motor in the router and irregular pattern on the wood. It was the largest and smallest bit that was the worse.
