After calibrating the refractometer (easy, just follow the instructions) and making sure for the insrument and the glycol (in my case) to come to the same temperature (as per the instructions) the instrument is simple to use and accurate.

Easy to set up and use. Purchased to check antifreeze levels in caravan central heating. Checked other friends systems too to which some needed topping up. As far as I can tell it is quite accurate.

The device itself is reasonably well made. You do need a good light source such as a torch to see the display clearly. The pipette is a very flimsy all in one very thin plastic affair which is functional, but not made to the quality that I would have preferred. It looks like something you might expect to find in a cheap Xmas cracker. A small screwdriver is supplied for adjusting calibration - which is easy to do.

Used to pay £18 each year to get levels checked on a caravan site. Paid for itself already. You just need some deionised water to calibrate it and a bit to wash the pipette out several times. Some good videos on YouTube, really easy to use and well made . Did come pre calibrated but wanted to check myself. Comes in a study case with pipette,screwdriver,unit, lens wipe all Hiden in case.

Bought this for measuring glycol in heating systems as a plumber and also you can check the car antifreeze aswell, it works perfectly well worth the money !

Easy to use and nice to have a more accurate reading of anti freeze levels. Also can read S.G for other liquids.

Seems accurate, very cheap compared to others, but hard to focus the lense.
