SAFAVIEH Anatolia Collection Area Rug - 5' x 8', Brown & Green, Handmade Traditional Oriental Wool, Ideal for High Traffic Areas in Living Room, Bedroom (AN512F)

I purchased this rug a month or so ago and just put it down in my living room.Just love it! There is brown light greens and a gold color in the design.Just love how it looks and it is very well made.

After reading some of the reviews that talked about excessive shedding, I was concerned. However, my rug arrived a few days ago and I am very pleased. There was no visible shedding but I filled about 1/3 of the canister when I vacuumed. The Brown/Green color that I chose was not easy to find because it is not trendy right now, but I didn't want to buy new furniture. The colors were not exactly as I wanted but they will do. The red is much more of a rust color and the green looks more taupe, not as sage as I expected. The quality seems to be excellent and the rug flattened out nicely after only a couple of days. It looks much more expensive than it was. I would recommend this carpet to others.

I love the soft colors in this rug – adds interest, but doesn’t over-power, even with some stripes in my brown couches. I tried to include pictures that are very true to the colors -as this was my biggest worry in ordering online. I would describe main color as taupe with border of a grayish green. Couldn’t be more pleased with the colors. Does have some wrinkles, which I am hoping will flatten out with time. I’ve bought this brand of rugs before and they have lasted for years.

Very reasonably priced rug...beautiful colors and design... arrived as scheduled and delivery guys were super helpful and professional. The only problem is... the musty smell that is still there after two+ weeks. I have tried opening windows, air purifiers, ceiling fans, room sprays, etc. What can I do other than return the rug within 30 days? Has anyone else experienced this? The label indicates that there will be an odor to the rug initially, but I thought it would go away. Advice?

UPDATE: 10 days later the musty/mildew smell is still there. I have tried airing it out, a fan, and letting baking soda sit on it to absorb the odor…nothing. I paid a lot of $ for this rug and am so disappointed to say it’s going back.,The colors and quality of this rug is excellent, but….the musty smell is unbearable. I put this rug in a guestroom, and my guest couldn’t sleep in the room because of the smell. I see other customers have said the smell doesn’t go away so this concerns me. I will give it a week or two, and if this doesn’t improve the rug is going back.

The quality of this was GREAT as well as the value for the cost. Unfortunately, the smell was too strong for me. Even after I wrapped it to return it, put it in the car night b/4, the oder was too strong. It's unfortunate, b/c it was a perfect match

Pretty color as described . Wool rug by safavieh .I have many safavieh rugs . It sheds when you vacuum but my rugs stay thick and color remain the same . I can spend thousand of dollars for a perfect in every way rug . But for me a wool rug that cost a few hundred dollars that last for years is awesome

The color is not true to the pictures but very good quality rugs I have several.
