Did the job
I was a little worried when I saw this in the mail. It was a little taller than the original. Luckily there is nothing in the way and there was plenty of room. Four screws and one electrical connector and we were up and running. No more warnings about a fan failure on startup.

Exact fit replacement. Zero noise.
If you have a HP desktop with error 90B a fan that runs and stops, runs and stops, this is the fix. Take the four screws lose of the old fan, remove the old fan and heatsink, and screw the new fan assembly in place and plug it in. Quick, easy, and done.

Fan is loud, not sure if I ordered correct one.
I ordered this for a 2017 HP Pavilion desktop 510 and the fan is same size however the aluminum part is a bit thicker and the wires are different colors. The fan is extremely loud, the loudest computer fan I have ever heard. Sounds like a speeding race car. I’m assuming this is not the right part for HP desktop.

If you have noise canceling headphones this is the fan for you!
Remember that old cell phone commercial where the guy would always say "Can you hear me now?" Well, if you decide to get this fan you'll be saying that a lot. This fan may be one of the single loudest things I've ever heard strapped to a PC. At it's quietest it sounds like a loud cafateria. When it really decides it want you to know it's 'working' it's akin to a small space craft taking off next to your face. We're talking full on NASA mission control launch sequence. If your PC is even remotely close to your work station, and by remotely I mean within three rooms, you will need a pair of noise canceling headphones to hear. If your phone is near this fan, just be ready to tell the person you are talking to that you are currently in the middle of a F3 hurricane and they will have to speak up.I tried two seperate fans. Returned the first one because of how loud it was, got a replacement and the second one was as loud, if not louder than the first. There was so much noise I was expecting a Decepticon to come out from under the desk. I can't fathom how people are giving this 5 stars.Instalation was easy sure. 4 screws. But there is no reason for a simple fan to make that much noise. I don't need a Yamaha motorcycle to rev up letting me know the fan is engaged.Do yourself a favor and search out a OEM fan. Pay the couple bucks more and avoid the hassle I had and ultimately having to replace it three times. Unless of course you like small engine repair and like to talk in all caps while on the phone.

Great fan for the money!
Installed quickly inro my HP desktop after the original fan went bad. Comes with everything you need including the thermal paste. Very satisfied with this product.

This is a defective product!! Does not seat on CPU
The heat sink has thermal paste preinstalled. When screwing the heat sink to the MB (top of CPU), the screws stop as designed ( To prevent overtightening and damaging the CPU) but never make contact with the CPU. I did not notice this right away and when I booted the computer, obviously it shut down due to CPU overheating. It was noisy as well so I just ordered another fan thinking it was defective. Second one came with the same problem. See photo. The original problem was a noisy fan, so I ended up having to take a fan off of one of the new heat sinks and put it on the original to make it work. There is no way this heat sink fan will work on any processor.

Very noisy
When the fan run at full speed, it makes so much noise to the point it becomes very distracting
