4 inch wet dry diamond polishing pads - For Granite Concrete Travertine Marble Polishing 7 Pcs Set By STADEA

I recently did a kitchen remodel with granite tile counter tops. What I didn't realize at first was that the sides of the tiles weren't polished. I looked up suggestions online and saw products like this were a good option, but also saw they're recommended for drills at 3-4k rpm. My cordless drill does 1600 and my cordless drill does 2000 rpm. I'm on a budget and couldn't afford to buy or rent a really high powered drill, but figured I'd take a chance with my corded drill and these pads. I bought an attachment for my drill with a 3" velcro pad to attach these to.What I found was that even with the subpar equipment I was using, these pads worked beautifully! I installed black granite tiles and the edges that had been kind of a medium gray polished up very well. They're not perfect mind you, but I'll chalk that up to the fact my drill was just under 50% under powered. If I had a better drill and used the pads wet, I'm confident the polish would have turned out even better. For what these cost and the equipment I used, I couldn't be more pleased.

I used these pads for the edges of marble tile for my counter top. The grittier pads (50 100 400) worked well however the fine grit pads ( 800 and up) gummed up and left black residue on the tile and pads. I had to repeatedly stop and use wd-40 to clean the pads and marble from the black residue. I'm not sure if this is caused by a high rpm grinder or the fact that I was working on an edge as opposed to a flat surface. But, the sheen on the edge of the tiles now match the factory surface, so I'm happy with the final product but the pads need to be thrown out.

These were great and did the job for a fraction of the price of having it done at a custom shop. I just ran a low water trickle when using the 400+grit. Takes a little while to do but so worth the effort for all that $ savings. Make sure to keep a low RPM on the polisher and the pads stay on the polishing disk/attachment without flying off. However do wear all the necessary eye/nose/etc. protection!

Found these on you tube....searched on Amazon and was so excited they had them. Doing a fixer upper job for a friend, cut granite countertops to fit new farmhouse sink and needed a way to soften and polishe edges where I cut. These worked perfectly and was rather easy to do!!

This is our 3rd time ordering these polishing pads. They are excellent for the price. They last quite a while. Does it’s job.
