Flavacol Popcorn Season Salt , 35 oz.

This was already opened and the top was bent over and taped. It didn't stop the product from spilling into the bag it was shipped in. I want to know why an opened item is being sold as new. I'm very disappointed.

A lot of this stuff goes a long way. I read a lot of reviews online saying this was the secret to movie theater-style popcorn, expecting some buttery tones. It's there, but extremely muted. It's basically just finely ground salt. You can just use pickling salt and whatever other spices you like. As is, I prefer microwave popcorn to stovetop for the butter flavor.

We bought this when all the theaters were shutting down because of COVID and we wanted to be able to make our own homemade movie theater popcorn. Alas, we could never figure out a good ratio or how to get it to taste even slightly similar. It's so intense that if you added even just a little too much, it ended up just tasting like licking a salt slab. We tried popping it with the corn and drizzling it on top afterward, but we just couldn't figure it out. The movie theater butter alone usually does the trick better than this.

I have no idea what is in this stuff, but, it is GREAT on popcorn, and, I use in on other things, like vegetables, etc.... It was designed for popcorn, but it is useful on other things... So, I like it, I use it, and I recommend it... It is priced right, so....... And, customer service is good. I have used this stuff for years, with no issues, but, when I placed the last order, someone put the container in a bag instead of a box, and the carton arrived damaged, with contents spilling out.. I called Amazon, and in a couple of days, a new carton arrived in a box, and was just like days past, so... Good product.

Never thought homemade popcorn could be SOOO addictively delicious! No longer need to add high-fat/calories butter, etc., for taste. But...because the sodium content is REALLY high, I must be careful to not add the recommended 1/2 tsp per 1/2 cup of my white corn. Instead, I use about 1/3 tsp. Thankfully, my BP is good...and I wanna keep it that way, while still enjoying the best theatre-like, homemade popcorn, ever!!!

Good stuff, read up that this is the bee's knees for making great popcorn. You have to get ratios right though, seems I added a rounded 1/8 teaspoon and my popcorn came out a little saltier than it should, but it had that great movie theater taste. You can augment it with that artificial butter coconut oil as well, but I think this goes great with plain coconut oil or olive oil on the stovetop.

Well rejoice my fellow popcorn addicts, for we have been saved!For those that aren't familiar with the stuff, Flavacol is what theaters use to give their popcorn that signature taste. It's essentially an orange, ultra-fine flavored salt. The consistency is more akin to powder rather than table salt.When you go to salt with Flavacol, you only use a tiny amount. The box will tell you how to use it, but here's the quick and dirty version: A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. Seriously, one box of this stuff will last you years. In fact, I recommend you pour some out into a smaller shaker, and seal the original packaging until you need to refill your shaker months down the road. Not only will this prevent you from over-salting your popcorn, but it will save your counters from salty messes.It should be noted that while Flavacol is orange-colored, it will NOT give your popcorn color. If you want that classic theater popcorn look, you will have to use popcorn popping oil, specifically orange oil. Additionally, you could top that with theater butter oil to achieve that perfect theater flavor. That being said, you WILL get the signature flavor of theater popcorn with just this stuff, and I think it's good enough just on its own.You seriously can't get any closer to theater popcorn flavor than this.PROS: classic theater taste, good bang for your buck, and lasts a very long time.CONS: you may need to utilize a shaker to prevent over-salting and unwanted messes.

Oh...oh....oh MY! This is the bees knees, legs and ankles!It is the ONLY time I have ever had movie popcorn at home. Now its like my everyday thing because of this stuff.I also got their butter and kernels. But I would say THIS is the stuff that makes all the difference!

Le da un gran sabor a las palomitas y, por el precio, parece que va a durar un muy buen tiempo antes de acabarse. No vienen muchas indicaciones acerca de las porciones, asi que es de ir viendo poco a poco cuanta sal aplicar para perfeccionar una receta. La recomiendo porque recrea el sabor de las palomitas del cine casi a la perfección.
