My agency went to nylon and didn't provide a beaver tail. This is good. I don't like that the plastic key clip is a little longer than the metal one I used for 24 years and without a hinge. By that I meant the portion of plastic you push down to release they key ring takes getting used to, or two hand operation. I have found that pushing it down while the key ring is at the very bottom of the loop is the best method. Tried to replace the plastic key ring with a metal one but way to difficult and the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

Like the subdued MP/MAA/SO key holder. Dislike keys in my pockets. Wears well and replaced my leather one.

This was one of the few key keepers I found with a beavertail. I was hoping to find one with a silencer like my old one that wore out after 21 years of use in a Correctional setting. This stays snapped on my duty belt and doesn't come off easily like the leather one from a different manufacturer. I had to return that one. This works well and does what it is supposed to. Just wish I could have found one with a silencer and the same kind of snap hook setup this one has.
