Initial impression
After struggling through all the models of DXRacer chairs I decided on the King series. I just put mine together. Assembly was pretty straight forward. The arms were already attached to the seat. Putting the back on was a bit of a chore. It would have been easier with a helper. It took a lot of force to get the casters into the base. This thing is very sturdy. No wobble at all in the seat post.I am 6'1" and 210 lbs. The width of the seat is just right for me. Just a slight bit of pressure on the outside of my legs because of the seat bolsters but not uncomfortable. Really not enough seat depth for someone 6' or taller. The back comes almost exactly to the top of my head. The wings on the backrest are not even touching my trunk so anyone heavier should fit in this chair just fine. I probably could have fit in the next size smaller chair but they don't offer it in the fabric I wanted with a weight capacity of over 200 lbs. I hate leather/vinyl chairs. If I sit on leather furniture my clothes are wet with sweat in less than 1/2 hour. This fabric is very nice and so far I am not the slightest bit hot/sweaty.As other reviewers have stated the base is a terrible design. Very sturdy but the front of each leg has sharp edges that are just at the right height to scrape your heels on. I just gouged myself while writing this.Even though the armrests are adjustable in multiple ways they don't really fit me well. I tried rotating them inwards which is great if you are just sitting in the chair relaxing. If you are holding a gaming controller in your lap they don't really fit well in any of the three rotations. Rotated inward my arms only contact the inside edges of the armpads. Straight forward they allow for some forearm contact. Rotated outward actually gives the most contact. So far I am surprised that they are pretty comfortable. The material is like a dense urethane, not plastic like some other reviewers stated. There is enough height adjustment that I could add some of the padded armrest covers if need be without making the arms too high. The headrest pillow is very comfortable but the lumbar support is ridiculous. I wonder if anybody actually uses it behind their back. It felt to me like someone's knee in my back. I found a great use for it though. I put it on the floor and use it as a padded footrest. When I tip back in the chair (tilt, not recline) it takes some of the pressure off the back of my legs.Speaking of pressure behind my legs, the seat depth is only 19". This is truly not enough depth for a big and tall chair. This seat should be a minimum of 20" deep and it would have been really nice if there was a seat depth adjustment. I am only 6'1" and I can't imagine 19" seat depth being at all comfortable for someone 6'4" or taller. The padding in the seat is very firm. So far it feels really good and it is very similar to the bucket seats in my Tacoma. I pushed down into the foam as hard as I can and I can only depress it about an inch. There is no way you will bottom out in this seat. The back is about the same and it is essentially flat. It will take a few days to really get a feel for this chair so I will update this later. The quality is very good but not perfect. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw "made in China" on the box! As with almost every chair I have owned the back is tweaked slightly. I can see by the stitching that the back is not perfectly lined up with the seat. I measured from the backrest to the front of the seat and one side measures 18.5" while the other side measures closer to 19". I tried loosening the bolts that attach the backrest to it's brackets and twisting the back while tightening the bolts but it didn't make any difference.I also noticed that the armrests are not symmetrical. The left arm seems to be further forward than the right one. Fortunately there is depth adjustment in the arms so I can even them out.I spent way too much time looking for the perfect chair online. I bought a $300 chair at Staples and it was a nightmare. I returned it for a full refund. I considered a Steelcase chair but just can't justify the price. I tried a Stressless at a local furniture store. $1700??? You have got to be kidding. This chair at $439 is a little more than I wanted to spend but I think it will last a long time.*UPDATE* 1-21-18So far the chair has held up well. I sit in it for 40+ hours per week. The fabric hasn't worn at all. The chair is still rock solid with no wobbles or squeaks. As stated above my biggest gripe is with the seat depth. I also noticed that there is some sort of solid bar directly under the seam a few inches from the rear of the seat. I can't figure out for the life of me why this seam is even there. It is directly under your IT's (ischial tuberosities) sitting bones, whatever you want to call them. This is the number one spot that people develop pressure sores. I really don't know what the engineers were thinking when they made the seat cushion.

and nowhere near as comfortable as other chairs I have previously owned that costed ...
The chair arrived with the washers inside the chair, as others have had problems with as well. I spent nearly an hour, but I was able to get the washers out of the chair. The chair is quite a bit heavier than your average computer chair, and it could be difficult to assemble by yourself.I've had this chair for 6 months now.The chair is very firm, and nowhere near as comfortable as other chairs I have previously owned that costed less than half of the cost of this chair, but this chair feels really sturdy. I tried using the pillows for a few weeks, but the neck pillow was giving me a neck ache, and a week later i removed the lower pillow as well. I was dismayed that after replacing an older squeaky chair, that this chair was rattling and squeaking within the first week of ownership. I work at home, on constant conference calls, and having a squeaky chair is very annoying.I couldn't track down exactly where the squeaks were coming from. On my old chair, there was usually a culprit area and I could WD40 the area and it would be fine for awhile, but this one remained a mystery. I tightened up the bottom bolts, but the issue never seemed to go away.Today, 6 months later, I disassembled the chair, and tried to figure out where the squeaking was coming from as I just couldn't handle it anymore, and i couldn't isolate it to any part at all, which left only one place. The assembly bolts. So I reassembled the chair, loosely putting the bolts back on, and set the chair back upright. I sat in it, and no squeak. Hopped around a bit, nothing. Leaving the chair upright, I got under and tightened the bolts up, but just barely, and the squeak was still gone. Went down, fully tightened down, and the squeak was back. So there you go, don't tighten those bolts all the way down. The armrests adjust several ways, which are nice to get them to adjust to your setup. I think the chair really helps if you have bad posture. This chair doesn't have the space for me to use my old bad habits I used on other chairs, which has helped reduce back pain over the last 6 months. I like reclining it to watch shows. It's a good sturdy chair, and doesn't show signs of wear 6 months later. It's pretty decent.5 years into ownership: I've dropped the star rating down to 3. The squeaking was never resolved, and only got worse. Many parts failed on this and had to be replaced. It's nice that the manufacturer allows you to buy replacement parts at least. Those too, failed. The fabric started tearing at 4 years, and the 'leather' trim around the side flaked off. This thing is big, heavy, and feels of quality, until you use it for some time, and realize it's just not up to task. It's not the most comfortable, and the materials are not built to last.

... let me say that this chair is not more comfortable than a $70 you buy at Amazon Basics
First let me say that this chair is not more comfortable than a $70 you buy at Amazon Basics. The mesh/PU is not as black as it shows and it is definitely not shiny. Compared to other chairs it is really firm/stiff but I like it.I did not believe but the screws/washers that come on the side of the chair DID INDEED get inside the fabric as you have to remove them to attach the back side. I ended up recovering one washer but the other is gone. The chair only comes with ONE extra screw/washer set, which is appalling since it must happen to everyone. My advice to you - tilt the chair upside down so the washers actually get out attached to the screw. Otherwise they will be lost. This chair is for the gamer fanatic and I will prbably keep it for the hype factor. But really not impressed by the quality.

Improve your instructions.
Very sturdy. So heavy that I can't pick it up. Thats a pro and con. The paper instructions had me rage. Heres why. It came with the allen bolts screwed into the upholstery. You have to unscrew them to assemble. They should have put them in a separate bag! The instructions do not tell you that there is washers behind them and they fell into the seat. I got most out but lost one for good. They include 1 extra bolt, and 2 washers. 1 of each type. I'm so mad right now that I can't focus on how good the chair is. Its a pretty good chair which is why I give 4 stars. One off for the error in instructions.

everything is as advertised
really good chair - built well and solid. the only negative thing i would say about this chair is the fabric that's used. not that it wasnt listed as such but i just think it was like this. its not really comfortable in hot weather. the AC in our house is broke so right now sitting on it isnt the best. i think the upgrade to the chair with the faux leather is $700+ at the time i didnt really want to pay.

You pay for the brand name
It's a chair, assembly is fine, arm rests are uneven, useless lumbar support, head pillow hard to place. Overall, 7/10, it's a gamer chair with hype behind it.
