Mission Multi-Cool 12 in 1 Multifunctional Gaiter and Headwear

(Copied review because this was purchased along with a smaller version, but identical in fabric.) I am not exaggerating when I say that this scarf is super thin and super light. Thin like a pair of light spandex. All the newer ones use materials close to Yoga pants thickness. Took this and a shorter version on a fishing trip in Flamingo Everglades Park and the Mangroves of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico (say it in Spanish please). Perfect weight for the summer and tropics. I am using these exclusively because those Thick cotton / neoprene face masks being sold now are just unacceptable for commuting in NYC. I wish I could find these again. But Mission stopped making them. Hopefully they bring them back!

So this is probably my favorite gaiter. I have others made by buff, Magellan, bass pro and others. This one is longer than most which gives greater flexibility in use. It is perfect for under my motorcycle helmet, the fabric is not cumbersome and therefore doesn't make it too tight. The longer than average length works amazing when needing to extend coverage for long days in the sun. I also use it at night for under my CPAP mask to reduce wrinkle lines and add comfort from the edge of the neck part of the head strap. Low key use was it being able to be a hair tie, it has made both the wife and the little girl happy when they need a replacement hair band.

I like that there are 12 ways to wear. If you’re a “visual” person (that is , you can look at pic and figure out how to make all 12 ways, you’ll like it).I’ve used it 3 times running (7-10 miles). I can’t say the “cooling method” they claim actually works.Pro’s: keeps my head cool, absorbs sweat on my head and brow (no sweat running down my face or in my eyes), keeps the sun off my head and neckCon’s: I run with AirPods. My AirPods fit good in my right ear but not as firm in my left. (Pro - It helps the AirPods in my left ear stay in). For my right ear, the product puts undo pressure on my ear which irritates. I believe the finished product on your head looks nicer on the models on the packaging but I’m a function guy so it’s not an issue for me but could be for you.

I like this more than I thought I would. I didnt realize the versatility it offered and as someone who uses a wheelchair my neck are gets very cold. This keeps my neck warm and makes me much more comfortable. It keeps my ears warm too. I purchased before the covid issue so it can help cover face area too as a second line of defense with a mask or something. I also really like the color.

Really does provide a substantial cooling effect. Does not leave a wet ring around shirt collar. Material seems premium. Love the pattern and color. The only slight downside is it tends to scrunch up at the base of the neck when worn simply worn around the neck, so does not provide as much sun protection compared to a shawl or scarf.

Would have liked it to be a bit larger. It helped keep me cool during 98° temps, the cooling doesn't last more than a few minutes but it did help tremendously when i would wet it. As long as you have realistic expectations i think you will be pleased.

It has elastic at both ends. It seems like it will work well to fold in half, so it will be double thick over my face- light weight, soft, smooth material- washed once - no problem (I just got it.)- seems durable- fun colorI am really pleased.

Who would have thought a little bit of water goes a long way. Normally I would feel silly with a towel of water wrapped around my head, but the stylishness of this one and the practicality of it makes me happy. I tried wetting down a shirt but always felt like I had a shirt wrapped around me. This is so nice and can be used in so many forms I just love it.
