Looks like the picture, has a drainage hole, and comes with a mesh netting to put over the hole so soil doesn't escape!

The planter was very well packaged and included a rustproof drainage screen as well as a very thoughtful black felt pad for under the saucer.The terra-cotta is a lovely darker shade, sorta like the color of when typical terra-cotta pots get wet. It is very well made and nests seamlessly in its saucer.

The size is perfect for a medium violet and I like the dish too!

I bought this to use for a Hoya Australis Lisa that needs lots of drainage. Unfortunately the pot’s one big drainage hole on mine sits higher than the edges of the pot, meaning water pools around the bottom edges of the pot and doesn’t actually drain.Decided to drill some extra drainage holes using my masonry bits and an electric driver and HOLY MOLY the bits won’t. go. through. I’ve been sitting on my garage floor with a water bucket and towels trying to keep the temp down, just to drill a single 3/16” pilot hole for the past hour with no luck - I think I’m half through.I’m debating between giving up and selling it (since I can’t return it now that there’s a half-bored pilot hole in it) and buying some tile/glass diamond tip bits to try muscling through whatever the hell they put in this “terra cotta” to make it so dang tough to drill through.In the end, not functional out of the box as a well-draining pot, so if that’s what you’re looking for, go elsewhere.

I grow orchids, and these pots are perfect for them. I like the size of the drain hole, and the filter that comes with them works great.{ No more using my coffee filters} The measurements in the description is a great help when choosing which size to get. I have purchased a few more for my house plants. I will absolutely get more when I am ready to replant.
