Coming back to goldwork after a hiatus of several years, I bought this book as an aid memoir. It's interesting, clearly written and I found it very helpful. It isn't an authoritative tome on the sibject, of course, but it does give history, information on the threads and metals, as well as the stitches. Plus it has some gorgeous photographs.
