These sockets are awesome. I had an oil plug In a disc mower with the hex head rounded off. The issue was that the plug is in a counterbored hole so I couldn’t get anything except a socket on the bolt head. I tried several methods and other bolt extractors but nothing would work. Everything just slipped and rounded the head off even more.I ordered these and they were delivered in two days, just as promised.I promptly got my ratchet and went to the barn. The bolt head was really mangled by this point and the 17mm socket I needed to use would only start on the head and not go down any further. I used a hammer and tapped it down until it bottomed out against the flange. Inserted my ratchet and pulled with both hands with everything I had. BOOM... plug breaks free and comes right out. The tapping of the socket did nothing to the grippers of the socket. Still looks brand new. Best 20 bucks I ever spent!

Would rate it 6 stars if I could.I was having problems undoing a stuck oil drain bolt on my car as it had been rounded off by using an improperly sized socket. Used a hammer to tap one of these onto the bolt and had the thing undone in about 5 seconds. I would highly recommend these to someone in a similar situation. Very quick and easy to use.For what it's worth, the finish on these is pretty nice as well.Comparable set at Canadian tire was around $80, so they are priced well too!

Needed to get this set so I could remove a rounded oil pan bolt head that was very mangled up with several efforts to break it free from cutting in a slot to try and use a screw driver as a lever (broke the screwdriver) to Vice Grips digging in but just stripping off more metal.In finding the piece that was the tightest fit (used a hammer to fully seat over the bolt head) and then using a long breaker bar, this dug in & I was able to break the bond and remove the oil pan nut without having to drill it out instead. In one of the photos where there is a diagonal groove in the side of the head of the bolt, this is from the extractor digging in. So even with how mangled the bold head was, I was able to use this set to remove it.This set so far seems to be well made & makes a nice addition to my overall set of tools. I am very happy with this purchase.
