Excellent to repair the guitar hero drum set!

One of the cymbal wires on our Rock Band drum set had been torn out and the other one's rubber was pretty corroded, so having two wires in this kit is great. It was a pain to remove all of the screws from the bottom of the drum set (something like 22 screws). But once the screws were out, it was very easy to replace the cymbal wires and put the thing back together again. The cymbals now work like new. I'm not sure what the second, bent screwdriver they give you is for, but overall this is a great value.

Did not work

My kids Wii drum set has been broken for years I finally ordered the parts and was a little worried I couldn't fix it on my own. Low and behold the instructions were complete all tools were included and now it works. I would recommend using an electric screwdriver or drill to remove the some 16 screws that was the most time consuming part of the process. And just to make sure I put all the screws in the correct place once done, a little hint... its a good idea to have some tape handy and when you remove it just tape the screw next to the hole for reassembly. Works like a charm.

I had to cut the cable and solder the bare wire to connection points on the cymbal. not a big deal as I had the tools to do it, but make sure your cymbal has the connector on it that matches this.

Pros: easy and cheapCons: if you cant turn a screwdriver don't buy them.... In other words, NONE!!!What can I say, we have a wii and my little varmints pulled the cable out of one of the cymbals. I had no idea this product was available so I priced a new drum kit. To my utter horror it cost more than the whole game to begin with over $200.I kept looking for a cheaper one and found these cables. I gave them a try and it took literally 19min from opening the package to starting guitar hero and pounding away at the drums. If you have broken cables take the 20 min and FIX them with this, way more than affordable, repair kit.MAKE SURE NOT TO PINCH WIRES WHEN PUTTING KIT BACK TOGETHER. ALSO, MAKE SURE TO PLUG THEM ALL THE WAY IN ON CIRCUIT BOARD.
