Tropical Fish Hobbyist

I bought this subscription for my husband. We have a large saltwater tank, and I thought he would like some interesting reading material on it. Overall, we both enjoyed it- although there were far more articles on freshwater than we liked. If you are interested in fish, this is certainly a good read. If your interests are primarily in saltwater though I would skip the subscription and buy something else. It is good to buy off the newsstand occasionally though because of some of their saltwater articles. However, if you have a freshwater tank this is the magazine is a great read and always has interesting editorials. The pictures are beautiful, and the tank set ups featured are pinterest worthy.

I showed my magazine to a co worker who is into fish. He liked it so much he has a subscription now. It is full of articles about tropical fish and how to care for them, Which types of fish can be together. It goes in depth into each fish species. The pages are very glossy and heavy its more like a book than a magazine.

Been reading this magazine for over 40 yrs from back when it was a little paperback I picked up at the aquarium shops. Good magazine for anyone who loves fish keeping. Very high quality photography and good articles. Well worth the cost.

I subscribed to TFH years ago, and I just came back (2019) again. I have to admit, I anticipated a lower quality publication now. I am pleasantly surprised to see that the quality of the articles and content overall has improved dramatically over the years. This is an even more professional publication now than its original version decades ago.

I love this magazine! It provides great articles of fresh and saltwater pets. However, I just renewed my subscription thru TFH and paid only $25.95 for 2 years.

Tropical Fish Hobbyist has been a gift for my son for several years now and he likes it very much which is why I continue to get it for him as a birthday gift. It appears to have articles which aren't found in other publications which I am sure is why he likes it so much.
