Wasco 14" SkyTube Tubular Skylight - ST14HR

I debated on buying a solar tube skylight for years. Always didn't because of my angled concrete tile roof. I also didn't know whether to order the 10" or 14", but ended up going to the 10" just so wouldn't be an issue with clearing the rafters.The area that I needed extra light in was our kitchen that we'd just redone in darker colors. Anthracite gray cabinets with one light gray wall and one grape colored.If you have a asphalt tile roof, this could be installed in a couple of hours and even with the concrete tile roof I was able to do it in about 6 hours. I've also never installed one before so there was some nervousness.The skytube itself: Very light weight thin tubing and even with the inner plastic protector covering the polished part of the tube, it did heat my leg up quickly when the sun was at the right angle to the tube. So I knew it would transfer a lot of sunlight. The dome and flashing seemed to fit well and the material was of good quality. We'll see how the polycarbonate dome lasts in the Phoenix sun. The inside bezel and diffusing lens looks good and fits perfectly and the amount of light getting through is significant.Once the install was complete I did some light measurements with a meter I have and the numbers were impressive. There is a bit of a spotlight affect but it isn't very focused and not even round. A non-issue for me but I like to be thorough in these reviews. I chose Wasco for its non dryer tube, price and quality of reviews. I'd buy another without hesitation.The guys at the seller were more than willing to help with info once I ordered and did a great job when I decided to change the size from 14" to 10".
