Self standing but fits hand well
I liked the magnet holding the cross into the stand. Both stand and cross are varnished. The cross itself fits larger hands well, and looks good on my windowsill. Although it's quite smooth, I plan to sand it further to get the really smooth finish typical for olive wood pieces.

Not quite as the pictures would have you believe.
So this does not come with a stand as advertised, and I'm sure it's not beech wood (although I'm no tree expert!) And it's not as smooth as described.Just plain bad/false advertising.

Made in China
The cross itself is nice but it’s made in China where religion is frowned on and people, Muslims mainly’ are sent to concentration camps. I do wish Amazon would put the place of origin when showing us the goods available.Because of this I have thrown the cross away

Beautiful and easy to hold
Bought this for our son after he lost his father, to give him something to hold, when having prayers. He loved it and it is never far from him

Disappointing
This is well made but when cross is added to base it does not stand upright but at angle so sadly it was returned!
