Hard to imagine that the author has a degree in English and another in creative writing. The difference between this book and a good thriller is like the difference between a half-hour American sit-com and a mystery or historical drama from the BBC. One is juvenile and weak; the other is mature and rich and complex. Weak character development, weak plot, weak technical details, weak grammar. I lost count of the number of times the author used "he" when a fourth-grader would understand to use "him." Hint to author: When the pronoun is an object, use "him." I realize this review is harsh, but I'm tired of e-authors just not trying very hard. At the least, find an old high school English teacher and buy her an Amazon gift card to read your book and offer advice.Perhaps the author's skills have improved since this book was written; I'll never find out. Ninety-nine cents was about ten dollars too much to pay for this. Sadly, I did buy another of his books before I started this one. I've deleted it from my Kindle.
