Nice compact alarm clock great for use at home and small enough to pack for trip should you decide to travel!

Realizing that so many items now are made in China and are flimsy and cheap looking, this clock still tries to live up to the Westclox Baby Ben tradition as I remember it as a young lad many years ago. It winds, thank God. I don't need to use a battery. And it keeps time rather well with a means to adjust the loses or gains without breaking as another clock I had purchased through the military PX system (I am retired military). I was so pleased to see that Amazon sells Westclox that I purchased two of them. Wallmart,Target,Sears, and the military exchange don't sell Westclox. They all seem to carry clocks that require a battery. I like the sound of the clicking minutes and the fact that the battery doesn't have to be removed for storage until it is needed when I go out of town. Keep up your great work, Amazon. You are my number one source before I purchase anything large and or small and you always provide dependable and reliable service be it in packaging, delivery, and customer service. Thank You Amazon.

Over the years, I have bought many things from Amazon. This clock is a huge exception. It just doesn't work. Even with a fresh battery, it only runs for a few minutes before stopping. I inspected the inside: all wires are connected, and the battery is firmly seated. I can't return it because I've tossed the Box. I have ordered another clock and hope it works.

Nice remake of Westclock's "Baby Ben." A lighted dial would be a big improvement.

The Alarm on this clock is not loud enough. I am hearing imparied I can barely hear the alarm. It's a good thing that I have dog thaat starts barking when the alarm does go off.

I just wanted a small analog clock with a second hand for my bathroom. This fits the bill perfectly.The back of the clock is white plastic. There's an on/off switch for the alarm and a knob to set the alarm. The other knob sets the time. Nice basic clock.I'm not so sure the silver on this clock is metal. It feels like plastic and sounds like plastic when I tap on it. That doesn't bother me because this is a clock needed for the second hand and to let me know what time it is. I never take my phone in the bathroom with me so a clock is a must. But if you want a metal clock, this probably isn't it.This is the perfect small size and fits nicely on my shelf.Highly recommend for function.
