Good to get an indigenous view of Inca society and the Spanish.

Finally!
The University Texas has dedicated itself to help publish translations of accounts of the conquest of the Americas. This is perhaps one of the most and significant of their efforts so far. The accounts of Guaman Poma, an Inca, are perhaps one of the most important in the history of the conquest because it is coming from a Native American perspective. The accounts and descriptions are powerful while the art is not only a historical treasure but also a gift to art history. A powerful book and a must read for anyone interested in this sad but important chapter in human history.
