CashelCrusader Fly Mask for Charity, Standard (Blue, Warmblood)

Good looking and sturdy fly mask. Good fit for my ancient Hanoverian who has to wear a fly mask at all times. Will be buying another for him as an alternate for wash days.

Cashel fly masks are made generously and my one draft has a dainty head and this warmblood size is a little snug but better than swimming in the regular draft size. These fly masks are well priced for quality.

I have a large-headed Hancock quarter horse, so I originally ordered the warm blood size, but I returned them because they were too large (the Velcro closure needed th be doubled over). When the “horse” size arrived, it seemed to be a little small, but after a few uses it must have stretched, because it seems to fit pretty well now. I have had Crusader masks that wore well in the past, but this is the first “with ears” I have ever owned, so I cannot address durability at this time.

The mask itself is good quality and made to last…unless you have other horses who like to rip it off your horse’s face. Overall a good purchase though.

Good mask. Easy to use. But my rescue horses are not used to them and act like a cat with a leash might act when I put them on. I’m trying to gradually get them used to the masks. Silly horses.Nice construction. I’m sure I will get years of use.

I love the Cashel masks, but be warned the masks appear different than the picture. I am okay with it, but I got 3 different color masks for 3 horses and each was designed differently. The pink just had a pink ribbon sewn across the browband area, no pink nose. The blue had blue on nose, blue across browband and blue mesh for the top near ear are. The orange was the only one as pictured. Not a huge deal for me, I can still tell them all apart. They still seem well made. These fit my horses better than all the other masks I've used.

I am thrilled with this mask. The extra, reinforcing stitching along the brow should help prevent fraying along the seam, and I love that a contribution is made to Wounded Warriors. Could not believe how quickly it arrived! Will order again in future.
