August 16 - Update - Do NOT buy if you have a Designer 1. When I finally used a design that used all 6 inches of the design field, it scratched the casing of my machine and I needed to re calibrate my embroidery arm. I thought I'd found a work around, but I will not be using again. I used the hoop three times, so what looked like a cost saving hoop, was a waste of money. The designer 1 has a 7 1/2 inch space from needle to casing to help others determine if this hoop will work with your machine.I have a Designer 1 sewing machine. I could get the hoop to work with my machine, but not easily. Although my machine has a 150x150 hoop option, it does not see the Sew Tech Hoop as this size. It reads the hoop as 240x150. The hoop is actually bigger that 150x150 and when it embroiders on the far left side, the hoop hits the base of the machine. The hoop does not lay flat while embroidering, so I do not suggest using on heavy fabrics. After two uses, part of the tightening screw broke off, but it still works. I purchased this hoop to save money with stabilizer. If I can find slightly wider stabilizer, this will happen. I also have not tried the hoop to quilt, and I'm hoping it works for that. It is 1/3 the cost of a Viking hoop, so that is why I kept it. I would not buy again, unless I find it works wonderful for quilting.

I had only two hoops for my Husqvarna Viking Designer SE - one about 4"x4" and one about 6"x9". I felt like I was wasting stabilizer when I needed to hoop a project that was just a bit too large for the small hoop. I'm happy to have this medium size. It's very sturdy and the fact that it comes with two inner hoops - one for thin fabrics and one for heavy - is an added bonus. The price was very reasonable compared to to cost of the proprietary Viking one!

Great price works great

Locking latch falls off very easily. I bought this for embroidering 6" quilted squares and the thick is too lose no matter what I do. The thin is too thin for a quilt sandwich but works great on single fabric layer so I'm keeping it for a future project.

I would had given a 5 stars review if it wasn't that the lock comes apart and the tension is lost. I had to secure it with glue to ensure that the piece remains put in its place. Otherwise, great for the price.

the screw has slowly loosened after taking the hoop off and on the machine. But if I'm careful to keep tightening it this hoop works fine.

It's ok. Works in my Husqvarna Topaz 50 for a cheaper price. However, I stole the spring from my other hoops to make it work better. Clasps are a little flimsy. It included 2 inner pieces. One for lighter weight fabrics and one for heavier weight fabrics which was very nice!

This hoop is perfect as it is like getting 2 for one. The one for heavy fabrics makes embroidering towels easier to hoop and the light fabric insert works on other fabrics. The size is perfect for monograms as well as many personalizations

I was hesitant to purchase because I was told to ONLY buy my accessories from a Viking brand. But it attached to my machine and works like a charm!!!!

works just fine with my husqvarna sewing machine. The way this is designed could be better, but it works fine.

The screw mechanism of the frame doesn't close tightly and falls apart all the time. Waste of money.

Although it did not come in the package shown, it was in a sealed plastic and everything was as expected. This hoop was purchased for my Husqvarna-Viking at a price much lower than the dealer pricing. I have used it several times and it works like a charm! Great deal. Thanks!

This works great on my Viking Jade 35 and is the perfect size for 6 inch quilt square designs.

I have a Husqvarna Viking Topaz 40 and this works! No problems, no need for any adjustments. It's great! And the price is much less than purchasing through Husqvarna Viking!
