It kind of works as expected... kind of.I now have a backlight behind my computer monitors that sit in the corner of the room, which is what I bought it for and it fills that need. Very easy to set up, but the remote isn't as intuitive as it could be. The instructions are obviously translated from what I presume is Chinese too, and doesn't explain what the different modes are.... in fact with most of the 'auto' modes, the top 10 LED's flicker like a strobe light, whilst the others move up/down the pole rhythmically (clearly a problem with it), whilst it works fine if you just have a single colour on all the time... I won't be using any of the auto modes anyway, so not too worried about this. Perhaps it would have been nice to have had a mode that very slowly changes the background colour over time. Doesn't appear to have this though.It doesn't feel like there are 'thousands' of colour combinations either. Even if you move your finger very slowly round the colour picker wheel, there's quite a noticeable jump from one colour to the next.It doesn't feel like a £90 piece of kit either. I'd say maybe £30-£40 would be a fair price for what is essentially an LED strip light with a bluetooth receiver and a micro-controller in it.

Brilliant product. Easy to assemble and works great. Loads of different colours and lighting patterns to play with, however there is a card in the box which promises and extension light. After countless emails and requests for a good review the extra extension never appeared, despite requests from China for my contact details and phone numbers. Product is ok, but don't bother about the promises from original supplier. Amazon should vet their suppliers more thoroughly.

The lamp came rather nicely packed, it's easy to assemble as you just have to screw on the rod/leg and it's ready to use. The design of lamp goes well in our room and the light can be adjusted from coolest to warmest white as well as dimness. So it is a multi purpose light suitable for any kind of mood as well as the colourfull projection light as an added bonus, which the kids love. We mostly use it as a regular lamp for warm white light at medium brightness, the remote control is excellent and works. I would most definitely recommend this lamp.

Update to my review.I turned this on today and the top two sections are just white and will not change, the bottom section has colour, I tried to get a replacement or refund, but when I went to enquire it says I can't do this, it is literally a few months old and now useless and not fit for purpose.Would I recommend now, the answer is definitely NOI bought this for the games / office to go with my streaming setup, just thought it would add to the aesthetic, it did just that. Love the design, has many modes, but I leave it just to loop through its cycle and it gives a simple but impressive effect, adds something new to the streams, if you want to see it in action search us out on YouTube "The Restless Natives" just does its thing in the background.Would I recommend, simple answer is, a definite yes.

Great lamp bright colours. Easy to assemble. Remotes abit cheap looking. Mine came with a card to say I get a free led light if I activated warranty. Email given I don't believe was a real 1. Contacted direct but they had no free lights... I paid around 60quid good few months ago seen others paid 90. There now 40quid. I'd say its not worth paying more than 40.

easy to set up. the remote isn't the most straightforward, but easy enough to figure out. we had this about 9 months and hadn't used it much - maybe 30 hours. randomly the top 2/3 now stays on in blue even when turned off, and when turned on only the bottom 1/3 functions with multiple colours. had to contact the seller to get advice but it worked and is now back on. would be good to have online instructions for troubleshooting.

It has been used for more than a week, and it is quite good. The design style is unique, the quality is good, and the workmanship is fine. The outer circle of lights can be adjusted in two colors, white and warm, and there is a ball in the middle, which can be adjusted in many colors with colors and flashes. . I gave this floor lamp a birthday present to my daughter, she was very happy.

I bought this for reading, but it can be used for many more purposes. The color combinations are not too sophisticated, they do not offer many options here; but for reading, the amount of light offered and the angles in which the lamp can and set are ok.
