Camaro 5th Gen 2010-2015: How to Build and Modify

I’m a backyard mechanic that’s pretty handy around cars (I service all my cars, repair, troubleshoot, etc). Overall, I would classify this book as a technical coffee table book. It offers good reading on the history of the gen5 with a sprinkling of technical instructions and related aftermarket parts to get a sense of the possibilities and the work involved for mods.I wasn’t expecting much in the way of step by instruction because internet. but I was pleasantly surprised by the background info on the gen 5.If this book was to be updated, I would expand the history of how the gen5 came to be and leave out all the technical stuff. A book can never compete with a good forum, real wrenchers and helpful camaro enthusiasts.Just for the model/options information, I would buy this book again.Likes-Has a lot of gen 5 background info like models, options, engines, transmissions and suspensions that were offered during the reign of the gen 5. It’s not in-depth by any means but I did learn a lot about the the gen 5.-contained lots of aftermarket brands part info-contained torque values for most/all mods-photos were nice and clear unlike online images or videos.Dislikes-Some parts seemed more like advertising to sell parts-not detailed or in-depth. It only provides general instructions. You will need other sources of information to do most of the mods in this book.- It may be due for an update?

This book is full of information that is hard to find. The book has complete list of part dealers. This a very good resource for anyone up grading their Camaro.

Purchased a used item but it was mine new

Ce livre est très bien documenté et montre différentes manières relativement simples (toutes proportions gardées) d' augmenter les performances et la tenue de route des Camaros 5ème génération. Il y a des photos de certains montages, et d'autres articles comme par ex.ceux concernant les compresseurs présentent les équipements de différents fournisseurs, laissant les détails aux soins de ces derniers.Un reproche toutefois, je regrette de devoir, dans les pages concernées, faire systématiquement le tri entre les données concernant le moteur L99 et le LS3.. Les deux moteurs étant vraiment différents au niveau des culasses, vous devez vraiment faire attention que votre moteur est vraiment celui dont il est question dans le paragraphe; fastidieux...J'aurais préféré des chapitres séparés pour chaque type.

Ce livre n'est pas pour l'entretien, explique en detail comment faire certaine modification. Tres bien expliquer. Sourtout pour modele V8

Very in depth book on how to's. Only problem is it doesn't cover a lot on the V6 engine

Book is new. Yet to read but it came as it should.

All photos are black and white ,hard to see and hard to read the charts and graphs.Way over priced.
