It did on mine after trying a different product that did not.- - - - -I tried the Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 32GB Kit (2x16GB) and like other users have experienced, it either did not work or it only partially worked. These are mostly users of Intel Skull Canyon NUC. I have an Alienware 13 R3. Those did work when paired with the original RAM. I sent those back and got this instead. I bought my wife a new Lenovo laptop for Christmas as she has had her old ASUS for several years now and even though she only uses it for basic stuff like checking social media and preparing lesson plans for her job, it was slow as molasses. I thought with a new Pentium 8th Gen Core 3 processor and 4Gigs of ram already onboard, I thought the Lenovo Ideapad 330 would be a big improvement over her old one. Boy was I wrong! It was just as slow! After doing some research I discovered that the 4G of ram was onboard memory and that the sodimm slot was just sitting there empty begging for some company. I liked the reviews and design (yes I know it doesn't matter b/c it's inside the laptop, but never the less...) so I decided to give this Ballistix 8Gb memory stick a try. I installed it as soon as I arrived and I tell you what.. IT WAS FREAKING WORTH EVERY PENNY! Her laptop zooms now. The memory is no longer hovering at about 80-90% usage like it used too and now running multiple applications it is only pushing maybe 30%. If your laptop needs a boost, I highly recommend buying this. Just make sure that it is compatible.

For being one of the most inexpensive RAM sticks you can buy, this is almost a necessary upgrade for most laptops.I only gave 3 stars for "Presentation" because the packaging was just a small clear plastic box with some stickers on it, and it was just tossed loose into a big cardboard box with an oil filter I'd also ordered. There was some bubble wrap in the box but not actually wrapped around either item.I installed this in an Acer Aspire R5-571T. It came with 8GB of RAM and maxes out at 12GB. 4GB of the original 8GB the laptop comes with are on board, so there is only one slot. Obviously this Crucial RAM was as easy to install as any other; the hardest part is taking off the bottom cover of the laptop.Obviously there is a noticeable increase in the performance of my laptop. Don't expect miracles, though. It cleared up the lag I was experiencing when watching videos that were saved on my HDD, and that's all I wanted out of the RAM increase, so I am happy with it.If anything changes I'll update my review.

As a product in and of itself, this is exactly as described and improves memory usage and load times. I went 15% idle usage and maybe 80% maximum usage on my memory, to 7% idle, and I haven't seen it above 40% maximum usage now. What that means? You don't have to care if you have programs open and slowing you down while playing games, or working or anything else that involves load times or working multiple processes since your memory won't be weighted down when having multiple processes open (that's my limited understanding/experience). If that's wrong, I can still see that my memory has less weight when multiple programs are opened, and performance is increased with load times in general.What it won't help with, is frames (not much at least). I may have noticed some slight increase in frames and the drop of my frames in games are lessened, but still if your GPU is maxed out with poor frame rate, that's your bottle neck. I didn't figure this out until after I bought the ram.That said, I'm keeping it as I like the way my computer performs with dual 16 gb sticks of ram and it may have helped in some minor way.

I am using this in a Lenovo T460s laptop. Unfortunately the BIOS sets the frequency to 1066 instead of the 1200 the memory can go because the soldered memory on the motherboard can't go as fast as this can. Nonetheless, I'm happy with the purchase and would buy again. Micron Ballistix has been good to me in the past, this is no exception. At the time of purchase, this was the cheapest 16 GB stick I could find on amazon with prime shipping. If you have the same laptop, you can use the stepped down speed at DDR4-2133 instead of this.
