I have a purple pillow and compared to that I think the seat cushion is a little softer. I think it’s great for the price. The zipper on the cover is wimpy but you can always just use some other pillowcase or cover. I have not tried the egg test. But I also think it’s lighter. The purple pillow is HEAVY. But the seat cushion looks the same as when I got it. It does not flatten like a fluffy pillow. Still springy and cushy.
