A few years back on a trip to Nashville we stopped at a local joint on the east side that had the hottest Nashville Hot chicken we've ever had and kicker is that we ordered medium. While this bpxxed version isn't nearly as hot as our previous unexpected culinary experience, this was still a decent heat level, smack dab in the middle of medium and hot. Basically perfect. Flavor is well rounded, excellent really. This is the best boxed NH breading we've had and I'd highly recommend. I will note, the extra crispy method is what we use and it not only is indeed extra crispy but it also turns up the heat. Following the basic recipe lowers the heat a bit. Enjoy!

Product expires in 11 weeks. Not what I would expect when ordering this. Usually this should have a shelf life of at least 6 months being a non perishable. Must have been sitting around a long time before I ordered it.

If you like Nashville Hot Chicken (and I do!) this is for you. Easy and delicious

I used this with Butler Soy Curls rehydrated in faux chicken broth instead of Chicken, and it was DELICIOUS!! The BEST spicy faux chicken strips on earth. I shallow fried them instead of deep frying and it still produced a delicious crispy, spicy crust. Next time I'll try air-frying. This would make killer spicy fried clams, or tofu or vegetables. If you like spicy and you like crunchy crispy fried foods, this coating mix is for you!!!
