NOT FLUSH FOR THE B6 Engine
The tool specifically designed to remove the VVT Solenoid (N205 Valve) does not fit flush with the part. (I'm referring to the silver tool with the notches are directly across from one another) The tool fits and it lined up properly...yes. The tool "allows" you to remove and install the part...yes. However, take this with an extreme grain of salt. Because it doesn't sit flush, you will have to keep one hand on the removal tool and another to turn the ratchet. This is not at all ideal because of the sheer amount of force you need to remove this part. (ALSO, if you don't have another person, you will have to figure a way to lock the camshaft from rotating as you turn to remove.) Installation is going to be even harder. Because it doesn't sit flush, it will keep slipping out of the part and this can potentially damage the part inside of the engine. YOU DO NOT WANT THAT. This tool NEEDS to be flush because you have to apply 26 Lb-FT of torque with a torque wrench. Trying to do this with a tool that is slipping was not ideal and I had to purchase an official one from VW. Like I said, it fits. But because the notches are not long enough, as the part screws into the engine, it begans to slip and there goes your ability to do the job right. I would ONLY recommend this is you are strapped for cash and have NO other option. This thing can damage your part and thusly your engine.
