This book is an absolutely "must read" for every aspiring and established medical leader. It synthesizes thirty years of hard earned experience into a 200 page handbbok of practical, pragmatic advice based on integrity, ethics and sound principles. If I had this book ten years ago I'd personally have had a much easier odyssey through my own medical administrative career. This book should by compulsory reading for every new academic health care worker.

An engagingly written "how to do it" book on leadership, written with the characteristic directness and accuracy of a gifted surgeon. Dr. Taylor's problem-solving skills and style are illustrated with cases from a rich experience in management, described with wisdom and humor.
