I was skeptical at first to see how this was gonna work. I wasn't expecting it to be a twist cap as it didn't seem like it in the pictures. Twist caps probably wouldn't've been my preferred method of choice, but it does secure my shaving brush very well. It is a faded, translucent plastic, although it is well built. I still have it and utilize it today. This seems great for travel although I have yet to do that. It takes a little time and strength ('elbow grease') to twist on/off, but for security reasons, I can see why it's worth it.

I have been using this on my business trips and really like it. The only thing I would change would be to add some holes for air in case the brush isn't 100% dry when you put it up. Make sure to measure your brush. I have a couple that were way too big to fit in, but the $10 Viking Revolution shave brush fits nicely and works well.

This case is a perfect fit for my brushes, and it's a simple design, and it won't accidentally come undone while in transit. My only [minor] gripe is that the air holes could be a tad larger, but is a small niggle. I'd buy this again.

I only use a brush when applying shaving soap and/or cream to shave with. My brush fit very nicely into this and it is very secure. No more worrying about your brush getting crushed when traveling as I did before. I used to put it in a ziplock baggie and got most of the air out and rolled it a little bit - not very good on the brush and not secure to protect the badger hair. I would recommend this for any shaving brush users that are traveling.
