RolandTR-06 SOUND MODULE Drumatix

Bought this drum machine to fit into my setup, as it was a modern take on an old classic - something Roland manage to do quite well generally - and believed it would be a nice addition to what I have.The machine itself is of a surprisingly decent build and is very easy to use, however.........I purchased an audio cable (3.5 to 6.5) and USB A-MicroB power/data transfer cable (there are NO cables provided with this, just batteries) to set it up with my rig. Once powered, I immediately noticed a background hiss.I placed the output into different channel inputs in case it was a fault my end, but the noise didn't budge.I placed it on channels safely used by other instruments and directly into the interface, but the noise remained - so I was able to rule the mixer and Interface out.knowing that bog standard cables are not always the best, I purchased a more premium 3.5 to 6.5 cable and a better USB cable, as poor quality ones can add noise.Once these were delivered I tried them, but the noise persisted.And when recording the background noise seemed even more prominent and made the TR-06 totally unusable for making music, which pretty much defeats the purpose.So I've had to return it.A shame really, but as it stands, it's just not suitable.As a side note, the TR-06 also (according to the website) does not do audio transfer through USB like the TR-08 does - which if it did, and was clear of noise, could have been a workaround.I was looking forward to this little addition, but it was all a bit of a let down really.

It’s a very well made product. It’s sounds are authentic to the original TR606, but it is expensive when taking into account the level of functionality it provides. At the end of the day it’s a basic drum machine with average effects built in. For an asking price of around £350 there’s better options out there in my opinion.

Der zweifarbig gehaltene Aufdruck der Verpackung wirkt schlicht und elegant. Auf der Rückseite befindet sich eine kurze Zusammenfassung der Geschichte zum historischen Original; hier also zur Roland TR-606. Somit eignet sich der Karton, in welchem die Boutique-Modelle ausgeliefert werden, auch optimal zum Sammeln & dekorativen Aufstellen. Alles Gute :-)!
