This is the best! Fit my old sink drain perfectly.
Have a new sink, but never changed the drain system. Can’t find these twist and lock baskets in the store anymore, nor at Lowes. I ordered this and it fits perfectly so ordered another one so I could have a spare.

Good Strainer That Plugs The Water
This strainer arrived in one day and is working great. With the handle, it turned and seated securely in my sink with a round center strainer hole. It is keeping the water in the sink and the drain flies plugged up. I read the reviews before I bought it and learned of the rectangle and round hole styles. I examined my sinks and discovered one is rectangular and one is round. No wonder I've always had sink problems with the wrong strainer style for the sink this round post strainer will be used for. Thanks Amazon for the great strainer and sink education.

Finally - Found a Threaded Kitchen Sink Basket/Strainer That Fits -- (Almost Perfectly)!
Finding the right sink basket for my kitchen sink was an unexpected challenge. I would have thought they were standard, but that was not the case. Most baskets were not the threaded type with a center post that screws into position in order to hold water in the sink. And the ones I found didn't give the measurement for the diameter of the center threaded post. So I bought a basket with a threaded center post (thinking them all the same), and when it came the center post was too narrow. Yes it worked as a strainer but it was always partially blocking the water flow -- so that the sink slowly drained -- so washing hair in the sink would be a problem, and when trying to wash items in the sink, the water would drain too fast. When no water was in the sink the strainer would look good and block particles from going down the drain -- but mostly it was useless.I was leery about trying another type of threaded basket, but really needed one that worked, so I tried this one. In the picture the diameter of the threaded post was larger than the last one I had purchased, so I bought it. The center post does fit and can be turned to hold water. Unthreaded the strainier works great and water drains fast. BUT when threaded all the way down it looks like water is being stopped from flowing out of the sink, but it very slowly does drain. For practical purposes, you can pit water in the sink in order to wash items and there is plenty of water in the sink to do that. But if the sink is 1/3 filled with water, in a few hours the water will drain out of the sink, so the basket will not work for soaking items overnight in the sink. Since I don't do that, I don't care -- but the basket is not 100% efficient.

Speciality item hard to find
When we purchased our new sink, I noticed it had a screw down strainer. I like it but can't find them at the local home improvement stores. Amazon to the rescue. Just what we needed at a fabulous price - bought two to have a spare on hand.

Just what I needed!
I have a double kitchen sink. Same drain strainers on both sides. I pounded my old one on the trash can to get the garbage out. Eventually came apart. Switched to other strainer. It wouldn’t seal. Ordered this one with my fingers crossed. Works perfectly! Just make sure that this has the end on it that you want. It has threads and screws in.

Picture doesn't match product
Headline says it all... the base that treads in is bigger diameter than the pic. Customer images at the Highcraft 97633 Kitchen Sink Spin and Seal Basket Strainer site show the issue. The Highcraft style is what I wanted and the picture here looked to work. Not! Got a refund. The Highcraft gives lots of pictures with measurements. Very helpful. Worth the price.
